So, did some diggin' (or, usin' Elgoog for some ideas)... It looks like the smart series of the Power Tank works in the F-701, according to this account: And, since the person's mentioning the fisher pr refills, you can read about the https://j.mp/F-701spacepenmods, if that helps to know about other possible modifications folks have written about.
No mods needed. It is the Uni Power Tank Smart Series High Grade refill. Not the one for the plastic power tank. Sorry, I wasn't clear on the exact name. Its a smaller metal version of the Uni Power tank, which is plastic and larger. I got them form Jet Pens.
Not strictly EDC, but two sets of gel ink rollerballs with some interesting colours from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K
Some Brass Kaweco goodness. Lilliput Wave medium and the Special pencil 2.0 from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K
Hilarious! So, @HeadOffice, had mentioned before that I thought it'd be neat to get a Siphon - way to go! What do you think of usin' it? Yeah, still don't have the fundage to get one - maybe someday... What I think'd be cool is if they (Microtech) created a mk III version, which went back to just having the lever be the clip, yet then adjusting the barrel length to accommodate the Parker-compatible International G2 refill. Even if they had to lengthen the barrel to be similar in size to the Böker Plus Tactical Pen K.I.D. CAL .50, it might still be possible to have it be a pocketable ~ 4.375" when the pen point is retracted. Then they'd have an ink refill which would last longer, and a user would also have more refill options. If they redesigned the lever/clip length, they could still have a writing instrument with a reasonable length when the pen point's extended as well. Ahem, I digress... Anyway, put the following together after lookin' at the red dot award winners when they were announced (I think at the end of June/beginning of July). I had seen that Faber-Castell had the new Hexo line (with the hexagonal barrel) back in March, and didn't think much of it. Then, red dot gave Leuchtturm1917 an award for their Drehgriffel. It's a twist pen with a hexagonal barrel. Well, I thought that F-C had a somewhat better design for the ballpoint (and the rest), since they at least include a clip, yet, if they didn't submit their product for consideration, then I suppose it really isn't a competition between the two companies. Anyway, added Machine Era's Field Pen Twist to the mix, just for fun/contrast:
Yo tambien. 'Twas great of the guy for honoring his guarantee and refunding the money since the mechanism wasn't as smooth as advertised/hyped.
QUOTE="oke, post: 2717657, member: 27258"]The Wingback Black Steel pen: [/QUOTE] Very neat if you like the Fisher refill and don't mind no clip. I found the fisher refills good for a quick note but writing with them for a long time just a terrible experience. I wish it were otherwise as there are some great pens designed around the refill.

Especially it seems the blue F point has eliminated the 'blobs' and since its not laying down so much ink rolls a bit easier... OTOH, if I'm doing any extensive writing my choices are usually either a fountain pen or a gel ink... Am Yisrael Chai! Moshe ben David
