[IMG][IMG][IMG]This is my Maxmadco stainless steel pen. I’ve had it for years, I have always loved it’s weight but never could keep a good grip on it. When writing it would always slowly slide through my fingers. So today I had a buddy at work powder coat the barrel tip matte black. It’s perfect for me know. And pretty too.

@keycutter - pretty slick with the powder-coated grip! Nicely done!

Separately, some ks project rewards arrived today!

It is a cheap eight drawer wooden tool chest that I picked up from Harbor Freight for 80 dollars. I usually have metal cases with pick and choose foam inserts that I store all my knives, flashlights, multitools, and etc in. This was an experiment and I really like it, I will end up parting ways with this one and purchase a better quality bigger name brand c

    S166ICEcuba,

    Thanks for your reply.

I suspected the chest pictured was that one (it's also sold on Amazon). I had been put off by the negative reviews of its durability, but your opinion causes me to reconsider. I wanted a chest for the reason you've stated, but I didn't want to sick hundreds of dollars into a genuine Machinist Chest (which are GREAT). You mentioned metal cases. Would you have a couple of minutes to expand on any you've used, as well as any other comments about the Harbor Freight chest?

    may thanks in advance,
    YHF

Been on a mech pencil kick for a bit but was worried about breaking the tip of my Rotring 600 so picked up a rapid PRO with a retracting tip on the weekend. [IMG]

I’ve recently hopped on the pen geek wagon and have purchased a Rotring 600 ballpoint and this brass beauty that just arrived in the mail today. Super excited about the new additions to my EDC rotation. A Karas Kustoms EDK v2 in tumbled brass.

The thermoplastic pen was offered as an extra to the first 100 supporters of Adam's campaign, and he recently commented about it:
So it's more like a tech demo or concept, I suppose.
