Found 3 'London' Parker Jotters that I could not pass up. Do not really know how much EDC time they will get tho' Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How about these other 16 Jotters? http://blog.ipenstore.com/2016/09/parker-transformation-2016-jotter.html
You know... I got a Jotter Special Edition London Architecture for Christmas and I really like it. Really surprised.. the chrome barrel seems to have more grip and is less slippery than the all stainless version. No idea if the "London Architecture" overlay will wear off with use but its interesting how these little changes in finish affect the lowly Jotter. Sadly I gave up on the blue Quinkflow refill and put an Easyflow in it. Are these "special edition" versions of the Jotter only supposed to be kept to collect or write with ?
+1 on moving to the Easyflow refill!; you might someday also try a fine tip Fisher refill. wrt the 'special edition' Jotter (or any other pen) -- depends on whether you bought the pen for the pleasure of use, to gaze it in perpetual pristine form, or as perhaps an investment. You bought it; you own it, its yours! Enjoy! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
Well i like the two pinstripe models. But for now I only have to fulfill the Architecture quartet. To this end I have ordered the red one from german Amazon. Seems to have a better box than the three others... Do not think I will use them any time soon. They were aquired to be adored and I also am into fountain pens for actual writing these days (original rotring 600, Lamy Safari charcoal finish, Kaweco Liliput) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How do you like the Nooga notebook wallet I just ordered one yesterday? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Love it. It is a bit on the thick side, but I bought it for just that reason. Doesn’t deform and take on the butt shape like some of my others. You’ll know it’s in your pocket, but it feels like it’ll be around forever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good to know! Now I'm anxiously checking my emails to see if it's shipped Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My oh my, but those cats at DHL deliver fast. I have already completed the set. This one came in a fancier box but it was hard getting it out of the box. Felt clamped down Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have a new Pilot Downforce pen which has a pressure device so it can write upsidedown and on wet, I always manage to loose pens but hope to hold onto this one. https://www.penaddict.com/blog/2015/7/23/pilot-down-force-pressurized-ballpoint-pen-review
I took a look at the review in the link. Looks interesting. Wish the reviewer had discussed the refill in more detail. For me, the thing of it is with the Fisher refills -- I know the M is blobby; seems like the F isn't. I don't rely on them primarily because of writing under water or upside down etc. Although I often find myself writing holding my notebook or a paper against a wall. No, for me the major benefit is the Fisher refills simply do not start leaking in a hot car nor do they freeze up when in a car in sub-freezing weather. This is reliability that I value. Fisher seem to achieve this via two design strategies. (1) the ink is in a sealed, pressurized cartridge; and (2) the ink is thixotropic IIRC; so that it holds up in these temperature extremes. I could not tell from the review of the Pilot what they are doing. It did seem to mention Pilot are somehow achieving pressurization -- but then described the ink cartridge as open ended. Which does not compute. Enjoy your new pen for a long time and in good health! I for one will be interested in how it holds up particularly in extreme temperatures. L'chaim! Moshe ben David
