Ti Pocket Pro (Kickstarter) with Schmidt Easyflow 9000 M Black. My new favorite EDC pen. Sent from my iPhone 7 using Tapatalk Pro
So, apparently, there is a small gap when the clip/bolt action of the new Field Pen is at its lowest point, however, the bolt isn't really in that position for very long, fwiw. Just fyi. And at the time I posted previously, I thought that the ig image was a sneak peek of a writing instrument which would debut at the Machine Era store, like their black DLC pen, however, it's now live at that one crowdfunding site, if anyone's interested - j.mp/MECFieldPen_ks - with a similar form factor to the previous iteration. It'll have a mechanism similar to the TiScribe-Bolt this time, however, and they also made a black DLC finish available recently... Separately, I took out the Parker-compatible International G2 refill and see that, with how the internals are arranged, I see that the Field Pens won't be able to hold those refills, yet they do hold the PR4-length ink cartridges (the pic's a comparo of the Böker Plus Tactical Pen K.I.D. CAL .50 & MEC Field Pen): And, if you don't see the image, you can get to it there: j.mp/BPTacticalPenKIDCal50AndMECFieldPen
Here is my lineup of writing stuff. Too lazy to photo everything separately, but happy to elaborate. I am liking the Yoobi mini notebooks from Target quite well. They are 3.5 x 5.5 in and 48 pgs. (sound familiar?), and have a sewn binding, and heavy-ish cover. I am working on a leather cover for it (we'll see if I can type with needle-stabbed thumbs afterward...). I use my son's old eyeglass case for holding many pens/pencils if carrying many. Usually, though, I just carry the bolt-action mod F701 in a pocket, often with the 0.9mm pencil in a shirt pocket if possible. The Montblanc is my Sunday church pen. The writing instruments from top to bottom are: 1. Montblanc Meisterstuck rollerball, with necessary mods to run a Pilot G2 refill 2. Alvin 0.9mm pencil 3. Bolt-action Zebra F701, using Parker Gel refill (I LOOOOOOVE this pen, and will post more about it later, because I made it, and I usually can't make anything!) 4. Quill twist ballpoint 5. Zebra Jimnie Gel 6. Red Pilot G2 0.7mm 7. Black Pilot G2 1.0mm 8. Cross (Century?) gold ballpoint (sentimental, Grandfather's pen) 9. Cross (matching!) gold pencil (needs to go back to Cross for warranty service) 10. Acme Vitruvian Homer fountain pen (gift from bro. in law - rarely use, but come ON - how cool is it?) El Trav

I have just found myself going a bit fountain pen mad so I picked up this twsbi vac mini to take out and about, its loaded up with diamine tyrian purple . I literally am about to start studying I guess that is probably what kicked my new obsession off, I'm eagerly awaiting an Edison collier in the mail.
@Ganymede12: if you think we on this forum are enablers for expanding your collection, hang out at Fountain Pen Network. I hung out a lot there for a few years. I can't afford to any longer! But they really get into the details of pens, inks, paper, etc etc etc! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
Yours looks like a variant I've not seen before, with the etched rings along most of the cap. How old is it? Chrome or some other material? L'chaim! Moshe ben David
I got it in March of this year. It's the "Gold Lacquered Brass" model, as opposed to the "Raw Brass" version. The ridges are along the whole pen. Here it is open: It's gotten pretty scratched up though. It's good for visibility, but not for aesthetics...
I applaud your choice. I have one in the raw brass. I guess if I used it often enough it would develop a nice patina. But mostly I carry a Space Pen in a leather slip case in my pocket paired with a Streamlight Microstream. So it never got handled enough... I moved it over to my blood glucose test kit; now I edc a telescoping version of the Space Pen. Like it a lot! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
