Its a Maratac Technician driver. I drilled out one end and press fit a Zebra tip in the cavity. The refill is a shortened Itoya refill.
I have very few times when using a fountain pen would be productive. .5mm works great in a logbook. And .7mm does everything else. If I come across a Metropolitan and have the coin I'll probably grab one just because....
i made two F701's and decided to use electrolysis to force a "patina" onto one, strangely i ended up electro plating it with copper too and it turned out beautifully

My Karas Kustoms came in yesterday. Awesome pens! Changed the clip screw to something low profile. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Their tumbled finish is nice,, I dont understand why KK doesn't get rid of the silly knob on top of the Bolt and just put a bolt screw-knob on the side? Add the knurl pattern to match the Render K and Retrakt and make it match the rest of their lineup...
You read my mind on the knurl. I can see why not some might not want the side bolt, that's one reason I got this pen. That being said, I'm thinking of trying that.
Not my best work, but by far my favorite pen. It's made of parts from a pen kit as well as some brass and aluminum tubes and scraps. I made it to take Schmidt 888 refills which are by far my favorite.
I have two of those three - the black aluminum with the rings and the titanium (although my Ti has rings cut into it also). Which of the three do you prefer?
WOW, that looks cool! Please let us in on the details as to the process you used to achieve this look !
That's good to know. How is it to write with? I have been considering picking up a stainless steel, but I am concerned about the added weight. I've also been looking at his nautical brass version, but I see that it's the same weight as the stainless.
