Finally had some time today to try and 'fix' my little mechanical pencil.. Used to be black, some kind of plastic coating but that had gotten rancid and sticky over the last years of use (no amount of chemical treatment would make it better) and i figured i might as well see if i could sand/polish it... worked great!!
Nice polished brass look now over the rimply icky sticky black....

A very nice collection.
You might want to check out the Tactical Turn Shaker too.
How do you like the Prometheus pen?
Thanks, appreciate that. I like the Alpha a lot. Fit and finish is just a little notch above and very well balanced. I find myself reaching for my TiBolt more often for carry, just because I like the convenience of a clicky but the Alpha is fantastic.
I lean towards clicky for conveniece. But I am using capped pens a lot lately.
For me its simple, ill only allow caps on pens that need caps (aka fountain pens). Ballpoints have only one thing going for em and that's convenience so i don't want caps on that. Rollerballs i try to avoid as much i can as for me its the worst of both worlds
This came in the mail today. My Christmas present to myself. This pen should patina well.
Karas Kustoms EDK with a fisher refill fine tip .
What is the second pen from the right?
As I can see, it's the Hinderer investigator in brass.
EDIT: Oops, I counted from the left .
I should of stated when looking at the pic.
