^ That's how I was planning on storing my stuff! :D I like to have everything in its place, labeled, and well... symmetrical and consistent. O_O My room's in the process of remodeling since I've moved back, but yeah. I do plan on having little "beds" for all my gear once everything settled. :bounce:

I have a small basket that holds all of my goodies. I keep it in "my" cabinet in the kitchen. That's where I usually start and end my day...

What I am using stays in my pockets and just gets transferred between trousers when I change them - no leaving things in silly places or forgetting to pick up stuff.

Everything else on the other hand is a bit of a mess... Some are kept in handy places such as having a spare torch next to the door or a small knife/tool sitting on my desk, the rest theoretically stays in a wee flightcase, but thanks to the previous plan of keeping things in 'handy' places tends to end up scattered to the winds in a semi organised fashion.

Nice. Add a few dividers and those would be just about perfect.

My EDC bag generally is always at the ready to grab and go. I do have a selection of bags to choose from given the nature of the mission.

Several years ago while dumpster diving, I found a BUNCH of 80/20 Aluminum. I asked the owner if I could have it instead of just throwing it out.
I came away with enough to make a desk, have spares and also make this cool EDC bag/coat rack. The base came from a watch stand and is bolted to the 80/20 to provide a solid foundation.

I love this stuff!! I can configure it however I want!!

NASA and other labs use this stuff!

How is this working out for you? Wish it had a pen holder.

It's OK. The drawers don't open and close very easily. The top two shelves work OK for watch storage, but anything at the back of the lower shelf is difficult to reach.

Would you recommend it for about 7 knives, couple Atwoods, lanterns and pens? Couple pocket dump items on the top?

What about getting a skinny basket or drawer organizer? That way you can have subdivision and lift it out if needed.
