Fisherman’s Friends _do_ rock!
Sent from my NSA monitored iPhone using Tapatalk
I always carry fisherman's friends and some wearthers
I have an eagle creek quarter cube as my dedicated food/snack kit in my pack. In it I keep silverware, a salt/pepper shaker and whatever snacks are currently there.
I view the snacks as a just in case I am really hungry backup. I don’t eat them everyday. Typically I will have a couple of different kinds of bars: lara bars or rx bars of various flavors, and a few Justin’s peanut butter pouches.
I usually keep a Picky Bars nutrition bar and Tanka jerkey bar with me for just in case.
There's usually a bag of beef jerky in the glove box of the truck and usually a Clif bar or two kicking around the center console.
Fisherman’s Friends !!
Ricola and Kopiko coffee candy.
I should add I try to keep some nuts around too. Peanuts or cashews usually.
Why do Fisherman’s Friends keep coming up in a thread about snacks?!
Personally, I usually have some seeds or nuts stored in both my vehicles and in my EDC satchel. They are good for energy, don't spike the blood sugar like a lot of snacks, and don't spoil easily.
This kinda got me too. Not discounting Fisherman’s Friend as a EDC item, but never really considered them something to just eat which is what I consider a snack. I even like Newman’s Own mints (like Altoids) but never really thought of them as a snack either.
LMAO. All this talk about Fisherman's Friend is taking me back to a certain period in my career when I was based in Asia... I was one of the few westerners on the team who were from the US; most were out of the UK. Nary a meeting happened without several packets of Fisherman's Friend circulating around the table just to ensure we were all fully alert!
I completely believe our output and meeting of deadlines should be credited to these rather potent lozenges -- far surpass Altoids!

I can see that with how strong they are.
My one memory of Fisherman’s friends is as a teenager, I was an acolyte during a church service and the pastor would always take one before his sermon. He offered me one and I nearly choked because I was expecting the more popular (less strong) lozenge. I did suck on the entire thing so not to be ungrateful.
