In Bushcraft there is a mantra which goes..."Two is one, and one is none". (at least I think that's a bushcraft saying, right?) What sayings do you know for EDC? One I can think of is..."Even if you only need it once, it was probably worth it." (A firearm comes to mind here, as does a FAK). What other EDC sayings do you know, or have heard?
Better to have it and don't need it than need it but don't have it [It's not failure if you learn something from it]
One I made up..."Always remember you have your dang EDC stuff!!" It's no good if you forget you have it (which I've "never" done before! LOL! NOT!) Can't count the number of times I've said..."Shoot, I could have just grabbed the Leatherman on my belt for that. DOH!!"
HA! Here's one I heard just today... "Steal a man's wallet, he will be poor for week." "Teach a man the EDC lifestyle, he will be poor for the rest of life." I think the author was some dude named "Confucius" or something.
The first time you'll need it, is the first time you do not bring it from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K
And when you borrow someone a knife. 'Careful, it's really sharp' from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K

Sounds like the same components / process I use for disposing of the bodies. Hmmmmm. Yer letting the cat outta' the bag, man!
Never take a tool without asking. One of my mates works in a kitchen, and someone darn near took off their finger after removing a knife from her personal knife roll. The inexperienced "victim" complained to their boss about how dangerous her professionally sharpened knives were, but thankfully the boss understood where the fault should rightfully be placed.
