Sorry, I can't help you there. I tend to wear either casual slacks or jeans. The two smallest items are suitable for on-person carry. Everything else in the picture is inside of (or attached to) another bag. In any event, they've all proven their practicality for my purposes.
For me they are indispensable to keep things organized and grouped together especially when I am traveling. I have no need to stick any in a pocket of clothes but I always stick them in bags and packs and winter coats for organization.
I dont carry on body but have a micro in the door storage of the wifes car and a beefy in my edc and whatever the next size up is in my daughters car bag. Helps to keep these little things organized and together. If i make a run or quick erreand and do not bring my edc/work bag i grab the beefy and toss that in the front seat. when i went on a little hike with the littles today i grabbed the beefy and fak from my edc/work bag and tossed them into a spare lapg 3 day bag along with a few other things, easy peasy.
Well, my organizer has changed again - the last one lasted what, 3 days? Haha. I find I'm not carrying my backpack when we go places, as it's just not comfortable, and I think a lot of that is to do with the weight. That said, I've gone back and cut all the chaff from my mini, and now we're back onto the micro - better to have some and carry that than everything and leave it at home 70% of the time I'm thinking. P1020904 Everything there is from the mini a few posts up - maybe THIS time I'll have found the right balance eh :/
Whenever I'm wearing cargo pants/shorts I ALWAYS carry this in my pocket as a credit card wallet within a more comprehensive wallet. Perfect size, and very versatile. Coins in the mesh pocket
I decided to mod my maxped mini after receiving the code alpha walking wallet and really liking the lack of exterior components. Here is a pic of the code alpha for reference, note the complete lack of anything on the outside, no pulls, loops, Velcro, etc: Pic also shows it placed on top of the maxped mini, same height, not as wide. So I got to work on the Mini with a razor knife. Removed all of the rear webbing and handle, and the front logo and Velcro for the mesh pocket. I was going to remove the mesh pocket too, but decided not to (luckily) Back shot: This pics shows 4 similar sized organizers(l to r), maxped micro, code alpha, maxped mini (with mods!) and vanquest ppm slim
However even after the mods I still prefer the code alpha, so I have used the mini to replace a condor organizer that I keep in the glove box in my car with a collection of essentials. Here are the contents of the code alpha: Right side: 6" stainless ruler notepad Left side loops: Fisher space pen SAK classic short usb/micro cable homemade screw driver with 3bits aaa light (forgot the brand) Left side pocket: tape card with masking and electrical tapes Left side mesh pouch: bandaids wetnap spare lithium aaa alka seltzer cold ibuprofen lens cloth Very flat setup, here is a pic of the loaded code alpha compared to an empty maxped mini:
That is a sweet little kit. I'm waiting for a couple of pouches to arrive before revamping my kits and will probably steal this idea
My small field kit, RS232 null's, IR learner, tweaker, scissors, WiFi Router, and misc junk. I love this little Vanquest bag, it fits quite a bit and still lays flat. This is my bag of adaptors for my Apple devices and other field cables.
I like the setup, looks like you have the newer 12" Macbook. How do you like it, and what do you mainly use it for?
No 12" yet, I still have a 15" retina model. The adaptors with the smaller connectors on them are for the lightning port on my iPhone 6 Plus.
Going out on a limb here- as a recent expat I'm looking to get my hands on a maxped. Anyone know of any good sites that will ship here? Also, can anyone recommend a classier, less tactical organizer? Something less eye-catching in a corporate environment? But with the same layout? Sent from my Nexus 9 using Tapatalk
