@mzil: Thank you. That's the best description I've heard so far.

Not sure this fits the pocket organizer category, custom made pouches that I wear on my belt (only one at a time, of course). They were made to fit what I always carry with me, the basics:

This one is slightly smaller, Mirage camo:

Sometimes I hate Photobucket. The stupid resizing wouldn't work so I had to resize some pics on my computer and re-upload them... bad for the nerves.

Nice pouches, where did you get them made?

The foliage green one was made by FHF Gear, the Mirage pouch by Fightandflight tactical.

Very nice, Mr. Moe. I like the minimalism and nice compactness of carrying the core essentials, having them always at hand.

The more I think about pocket organizer design the more I think a sub-containor for small items, potentially susceptible to water damage or crushing, makes sense. Your white container, which I can't quite ID (is it a pill bottle?) looks to fit that description. If you don't mind me asking, what is it exactly and what's it hold?

Yes, I also like the minimalism. When you get home you can just "drop" the pouch and be sure everything is always in reach, in a compact little pouch. The white thing is my asthma medication. (not laughing at you!) It's a funny situation. That's one of my fav features of the pouches. I used to get so tired of having that bulky thing in my pants pocket, bulging there and I hardly ever need it anyway.

The good thing with custom gear is you can sit down and plan and think about your needs and what works for you personally.

The bright orange duct tape is something I went with too! In fact to contrast my normal duct tape is camo duct tape so I have one tape to be seen and the other to be not seen.

I think yours is the first I've seen with that clever Versa screwdriver (I think its called) and a set of bits. How do you like that setup? Is that the stock shaft it came with or are you using a longer extension on it?

It's all stock. The Versa actually is a 1/4th" Ratchet Head with a Hex Bit Driver Adapter and Driver Extension. So you can do bolts and nuts with it, too. I love it. Best bit of money I ever spent for an EDC Tool aside from a Multi-Tool.

    a lockpicking tool, IMHO.
the part out of the loop is a detachable tension tool, and the pick itself is springloaded under the lateral screw.

^That's a good observation. It would explain why the pocket clip is so long.

I'm going to go with "A top secret, KGB ricin pellet gun" for covert assassinations. [joke]

sorry for the delay to reply. yeah, the grid it is made by cocoon industries, this is one of their products. comes with the grid it included. it's great for organizing stuff, but with the grid it fully loaded, the compartment can be kind of cramped. mostly it's the wall charger for my netbook, it's pretty husky.

    Did you make it yourself?

It looks like it has a very useful layout.
