That's a great idea!!! Really like the extra length, and it seems pretty simple (maybe so simple I could do it?) haha.

Where do you get your zipper pull rings from? They look super grippy! Must... HAVE.

Sure, go ahead! I think that is the whole idea of this forum. Just share the end result, so we can steal some ideas back ;)

I'm trying to go minimalist. I wanted a wallet replacement, but with some room for essential gear. The Maxped Micro is finally in production again, and fit the bill nicely:

It holds more than you'd think, and still slips in and out of the back pocket easily (unlike my previous Mini):

    Bandaid
    Cards, ID & Membership x10
    Cash
    Compass
    Flashlight, 1AAA Preon
    Handcleaner x2
    Hand Wipe
    Keys
    Leatherman PS4
    Lens, Fresnel
    Matches 3x
    Meds x4
    Paper x4
    Pen, Collapsible Zebra
    Prybaby Atwood Tool
    Survival Cards
    Thumbdrive, Micro Sony
    Tape, Duct x3 ft.
    Tinder

Bolster, looks good. I have a useful tip for you (and others). That Zebra Telescopic pen can be converted to a Fisher Space pen by replacing its cartridge with a Fisher Universal SU4F ball point refill [you snap off the two extension pieces to make it the short length needed]. I had planned on it for my future Micro as well, plus a Micro Sharpie.

Now you can write upside down, underwater, in outer space, so the next time you find yourself upside down, underwater, in outer space, you'll be all set! ;D

Is that right?! Wow, and the one thing I wanted to upgrade was the pen, because I'm not so thrilled with the quality of the ink, it's just an average ballpoint. I must try this mod. THANK YOU!!

I wish there was a small Sharpie EXTRA FINE point available.

Jnsn, not to be impertinent, but if space isn't a premium (it rides in your truck) -- why not a small toolbox, so you can just grab what you need instead of tucking and folding and inserting? Just curious. That's a whale of a lot of toolage you got in your pack. I think I'd go mad trying to use tools from a pocket organizer, tho. Unless, of course, the purpose is it all has to fit in a pocket.

more portable and i bring it in the house at night, also drive my wifes car from time to time. i have a tool box also with tow strap, tie down stuff, fix a flat etc.. i dont keep alot of valuables in the truck since i usually park in the street.

its kind of a "things you need but never have" bag, its not used daily.

Wow, great tip. Do you know, if it fits the Zebra Expandz?
