Will have to get one or two for my daughter.
I just saw the comment angusW made about getting one for his daughter and a thought came to mind. How would something like this go over in a school? Technically it isn't a knife, but it has a "cutting edge" so technically it is at the same time... seems like a bit of a grey area. I would think that it would be a no carry in a school/federal building/airport because of the edge but I'm not quite sure.
I see what you're saying, but the cutting edge isn't doesn't look any more damaging than a plastic serrated knife that comes in a fast food packet...
Kids have gotten in trouble for bringing plastic butter knives to school before IIRC.
I remember one short story in Blade Magazine involving an honors student, valedictorian, getting expelled three days before graduation for having a butter knife to make a peanut butter sandwich in his lunchbox.
Zero tolerance, indeed. I hope no one has to cut up the school's rock hard meatloaf.
It's sad that kids are being raised to believe that knives, Mankind's most basic tool, are evil. I believe that it would be a much better plan of action to teach kids to be responsible with knives and other tools, not to try to protect them from the world. JMHO.
I've read a couple cases of kids who couldn't graduate high school due to plastic knives.
I didn't think about the edge part of the clip. We'll have to see how sharp it is. It might look more like decoration than a weapon of mass destruction.
Will it up the wearer's hair, that's the question?
Seems to me it will.
