In honor of EDC Forums one month anniversary, Jon has given me permission to host our second giveaway. The rules are simple...Just post your all-time favorite EDC pocket knife and you'll be entered for the drawing. On Sunday (04/23/06)evening at 8:00 CST my lovely 8 year old daughter Daisy will draw 2 names. First name out of the hat recieves a NIB Victorinox Super Tinker with classic red scales. Second name out of the hat recieves a new in the blister package Victorinox Classic SD with black scales. Shipping is on me. Moderators are welcome to participate, too. Good Luck! todd Edited to add: the Tinker has now been upgraded to a Super Tinker!!!
Todd, you're a class act! Nice idea. My idea of the perfect pocketknife has changed many times over the years. Right now though I'd have to say that it's pretty darned hard to beat the Strider PT in terms of small and light, tough as nails, beat on it all you want, decent ergonomics and fairly reasonable price. I've carried one just about everyday since I bought it at the Blade show last year. Second runner up is the small Sebenza but they are too pretty to beat on. Mine has been grooved by an aftermarket party, Mike Pentrack from PMDC Tactical and is shown here with my other EDC gear:
I'll pass... because I already have enough SAKs. I just want to say this is really nice and generous of you. People like you and Peter Atwood are making this my favorite forum on the 'Net. O0
Spyderco Calypso Jr. in ZDP-189 bladesteel. Ridiculously sharp knife with a quality that I have not seen anyhwere else for seventy dollars. Thanks for the contest!
Victorinox Rambler for true everyday. For backpacking...I go back and forth between a Vic Executive and a Kershaw Chive (I like to keep things light). For the survival kit, currently a Kershaw Vapor and Roselli Grandfather.
Cool contest, thanks! Hi All- My favorite small EDC folder so far is the Benchmade Mini-AFCK with the traditional round hole. Big enough to handle most jobs and at one time small enough to travel on commercial flights. A sufficient amount of belly makes the blade useful and handy. ~ Blue Jays ~
CRKT Crawford/Casper that my father bought me when I was 15. I'm surprised that I was never caught carying it at school.
Cool contest, very generous of you O0 My all time favorite is probably the original Spyderco Endura (plastic clip, g2 blade)
Thanks for the contest! O0 My favorite all-time EDC is currently my Spyderco Mini-Manix. Hefty, sharp, and built like a tank!
Great contest. My favourite knife is the Benchmade Rittergrip. Light as a feather and sharp as hell. The perfect knife for a lefty like me.
Vic Rambler. It's small, has everything I need and no waste. Scissors and knife, flat and philips screwdriver, bottle opener, magnet, tweezers, toothpick/probe.
