Being that I am usually able to access municipal water, I generally carry a Camelbak water bottle with a built-in water filter.

I'm picky about water taste and this makes almost any water I run through it taste very "neutral".

For hiking, I use a gravity feed water filter system. I despise pumping to filter when I could be doing something much more productive as my water is filtering.

I just started carrying my Kleen Kantean 27oz bottle since the temps started to getting hot here. I refill it every chance I get at work .

Ah, I'm so glad someone decided to create this forum's very first EDC water discussion !
I usually put mine in a ziplok bag. If not, then I use the Nalgene Everyday bottles, which are 32oz and well for $11.

I use empty drink bottles. My preference is for the wide-mouthed types, which can be stuffed with ice cubes. Gatorade has nice bottles and the bigger Aquafina ones are also nice. They're cheap, readily available, tend not to develop a funky taste, and they're expendable enough that I don't care if one gets lost or damaged.

I am currently using a 8 oz SS single walled water bottle. had them on sale at the swag shop at work. The best bottle purchase in a long time, doesn't hold a lot but has not rusted out like some cheep bottles from china.

Pretty much this. I got an UnderArmour water bottle for free that I love but it just sits in the back of my car unused. If I'm drinking short term I just re-use one bottle at my source. If I'm going longer term I get several new and sealed bottles of water so I don't have to worry about temperature. The only issue I have is with the bottles sweating since usually they're cold when you buy them on the go. Not an insurmountable problem by any means but the solutions are their own hassles sometimes.

I don't EDC water. Gotta draw the line somewhere. When I'm thirsty I drink a bottle of water but I don't carry it around with me unless I'm out hiking and that's not edc.

I've been caught without too many times not to keep a water bottle on me in some fashion; usually a Nalgene, but I've been known to buy bottled water in a pinch.

The good ol' wide mouth Lexan Nalgene. Easy to wash, easy to add ice to, and easy to mix powdered drinks in. The metal ones dent easily and are also so much heavier to carry. I've dropped my Lexan Nalgene so many times it just gets superficial scratches.

I prefer the classic green anodized aluminum Slurpee straw and a map highlighting all the local 7-11s.

"I send him out the door every workday with six 27 oz. Kleen Kanteens in his lunch box; 5 water and 1 Gatorade."- Mrs. Cone

Didn't we have enough sarcasm on the last EDC beverage thread that nobody got? Don't get me wrong, I personally enjoy it, but I'm a bit off myself, humor wise, so I may not be the best judge of what's funny.

I've never used those. Do you have to change the filter often? If you do, or don't even, how do you know when to change the filter?

On mine, I change out about every four months or if the taste of the water gets funny.

I can't stop using my Nalgene bottles. I have two 32 ounce big mouth bottles and 3 of the taller 32 ounce bottles with a medium mouth. Love these things. Also I'll use my fiance's Klean Kanteen.

I use a Vapur soft-side/rollup bottle with an insulation/condensation sweater:

Ultra lightweight, pants pocketable when empty, jacket/vest main pocket when full (or clip to something) only 1/2 liter capacity though.
