Not a comb, but this might be of interest... I used to carry an Epibrush when I was in high school (late 80s early 90s). This little gem was sort of like a switchblade hairbrush. It has bristles that pop out with a twist ofa small ring on the handle and pop back in with a touch of a button. It is effectively a self cleaning brush that also was a nice size for EDC. These were around for a few years and then they disappeared. I still have mine, and it still works as good as ever. These days I tend to use a comb to style my hair spmit doesn't get used much but it still has a nice gadget factor I enjoy.
Sorry for the late reply. Didn't realise there was a reply. It's a flipper but never seen it for sale. As a bearded man I am looking for a new comb and be looking at one of these soon. sent from S6 edge plus. boom!!
Some really interesting combs here. For us bald guys these are interesting but not very useful. What hair is on my head is more like fuzz. My beard is never long enough to require a comb. Keep these coming, I never knew there could be such a variety of combs, let alone a high quality comb! Who woulda thunk? ? ? ?
I'm bald too. Just a horseshoe of hair. I do use this Mancard to manage my beard. Conveniently conceals in the wallet.
I'm think 'bout getting one of those switchblade combs. For my beard. While a Chicago comb and sheath isn't worth it for my buzz cut hair & beard, a comb made of horn sounds like a good companion. It also fits in with the being poor means don't buy crap thing. Can't always teach old dogs new tricks but they still know how to bite.
I don't know how long you guys keep your beard but mine is pretty long. I find that metal combs just don't work. They really pull and snag and are quite uncomfortable to use unless straight out of the shower. I believe wood works much better for beard maintenance.
Radley That flipper comb you posted was nice! I follow the maker on IG. Alas, he presold the entire stock before any hit the streets. Apparently, to never make another. I only use a comb, about half the month. The first 2 weeks, I keep it cut short, but it grows fast, and 2nd 2 weeks, it's just a mop. I used to get it cut twice a month, but it's just too much an aggravation to find time to go sit at the barber & wait that often. edited to add: I'm so hairy, Sasquatch takes pictures of me...
