Does anyone have a suggestion for a good, long-lasting, dependable comb for EDC? I have pretty thick hair (male). I would prefer smaller and denser bristles (like the generic plastic ones), but good quality. Thanks in advance!
Get one made out of natural bone or horn. Google horn comb. Stay away from polymer (cheap plastic) versions. They generate static electricity.
Kauffman Mercantile offers one. Not cheap but excellent quality. I have one. Was handed down to me by my late father. Should last a couple of lifetimes if not abused (just like anything else). Good luck.
My hair is too thin to comb and it only grows about an inch a year. Glad someone has something to comb... I use the saying, " hair is wasted on the young".
Look up "Kent comb" on Amazon. It's a British brand. I have one of their small combs; I've carried it for a few years now. Had held up great. I even lost it in a parking lot where it got run over. When I found! it it was fine.
Kent make great combs, I posted on this thread about the two I have, pictures are there to. I recommend the 20 T.
I see you've made a decision but if you perhaps want another you should check out Chicago Comb, I have a Ti one and love it. Very classic design.
I bought a beard comb from the site named after a river, made of sandalwood. It smells wonderful, and the teeth are perfect . I believe they make head combs (?) as well. Just don't drop it. I cracked mine the day I got it, but it still works well, and is almost a fetish item.
If you're into classy items made of wood check out BigRedBEARD Co. I edc one in my wallet everyday for beard and hair. Many styles and sizes available. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
