While many of us edc cellphones that are equipped with a camera, does anyone carry a camera on a daily basis? I started bringing my point and shoot(Nikon Coolpix S8100) with me when I walk in the local county park and have captured some interesting images.

Yep, I carry a Panasonic FX37 P&S with me whenever I am out the house, and am often to be found lugging about an SLR too (a Canon 400d for anyone that is interested)

My phone (a Nokia 6300) does have a camera, which is so dreadful that I refuse to use it, but I love having a camera with me as you never know what you are going to find, so the P&S gets stuck in my pocket.

I carried a panasonic dmc-ts1 in my pack up until I got my iPhone. It takes such a good picture and hd video that carrying the second camera was redundant. The panasonic is a great camera though, even with 2 generations out now ahead of it I have no reason to upgrade.

Usually I carry a Canon Powershot SD1200 IS. Great camera, plenty of manual options. I'm kinda lazy about taking the pictures off of it though. I think if I had a phone with a nicer camera, more pictures would end up online.

I EDC an Ipod Touch 64 (4th gen); two cell phones with camera and video capabilities (though only one has the service); and in my bag lives a Nikon D100, older but still decent and very durable pro grade DSLR. Also have a P&S in my company van but that's just to show my boss I have a camera for when I get in a wreck, which reminds me, I should put new batteries in it.

My phone has an 8mp camera. With the exception of the inferior double LED flash and no optical zoom, it is just as good as my point and shoot. when I do feel the need to carry a camera it is due to the environment (kayaking, beach, waterpark. In that case I will have a GoPro Hero HD or Olympus Tough camera.

I carry a Canon Powershot D10. Waterproof Digital. Lots of cameras are smaller, but I like not having to worry about rain, sleet, snow, or darkness of night.

I did have a Pentax W90. Shockproof, dustproof, waterproof.

Unfortunately not wife-proof. She lost it. Ironically, we were in a tech centre in Singapore looking at cameras. She must have put it down to look at something and totally forgot it.

I don't EDC my main camera (Lumix FZ38) but my Galaxy S takes pretty decent snaps and it's always with me.

I used to carry a Canon digital Elph when I travelled all the time for work, but don't do that so much anymore. So, these days, it's just the camera on my ipod.

I used to carry around a Canon Elph of some kind but my iPhone 4 has replaced my Canon SD780is in many ways. I never feel I lack for anything with the iPhone's camera. Sure it's not the best in dim lighting conditions, but it's good enough for me.

I do EDC my Canon PowerShot SD780 IS. When I got my iPhone, I put it away for a few weeks. Then I decided that I really prefer taking photos with the camera.

Pentax W90, in general it takes ok pictures. The waterproof & shockproof features mean I don't have to worry about it so much (my daughter can use it, great at the beach or pool). Sometimes the battery seems to fade quick.
