There are four main compartments; one bottom, two side and one top. There is also a hydration bladder compartment. Each of the side pocket covers has a mesh pocket sewn in for storage. I will take a few more pics in the next few days. The bottom pocket also has loops sewn in for securing items. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The backpack's material seems a bit flimsy and thin. Is it?..I ask because I love the set up, but I like packs to have more support.
Judging by how this thread kinda died out, I'm guessing these bags aren't doing too great..... Sent from my iPhone
Yeah. Same as a TAD Litespeed and not too far off from a Kifaru zippy. For 100 bucks less, I'd be sold. Sent from my iPhone
To bad there isn't many reviews or video footage of this pack. I'm hoping to sell my maxpedition bags to hopefully buy the Spartan .
Just got an email from First Spear a couple of days ago saying that the second batch of these shold be ready at the end of this week if anyone is interested. I wish we'd gotten more pictures but the consensus here and on AR15 seems to be that the pack is much smaller than it looks on the website.
I placed an order for the multi-purpose pack on Friday the 3rd. They emailed me Monday the 6th and said that lead time is currently 6-8 weeks.
I kept meaning to take some pictures. Here you go. That is a Samsung S4 in and Otterbox Commuter for size comparison. That is an Oakley Sunglass case for size comparison. It looks a little larger since it is closer to the camera. I keep my sunglass case and reading glass case in this top pocket. You could easily keep earpro for the range in here with room to spare. That is a Moleskine pocket notebook for size comparison. There is no hook and loop in here, but if you added some you could probably mount a holster. There are two of these pockets. Both are quite roomy. I keep an REI Hiker First-Aid Kit in one of these pockets. There is still room for a Maxpedition mini organizer pouch if I wanted to keep one in there with the first-aid kit. Each of the two central pocket covers has a mesh pocket sewn in. They are closed with hook and loop. They are quite roomy. There is also a bottom pocket. I keep a Maxpedition Fatty tool kit and leather work gloves in there. I could probably stuff another Maxpedition Fatty in that same pocket. Overall, I am quite happy with this pack. It has plenty of room to stuff a days worth of food and a rain poncho if I wanted. It is nice and narrow which allows me to put in in my motorcycle panniers. It does not hang too low. There is also a pocket for a drinking bladder. My one complaint is there is no 550 cord at the top of bladder pocket to hang the bladder on. That is easily fixed by adding a small piece tied to the top outlet cover. You can see in the first picture where the bladder tube exits the top of the pack. That is where you could tie on a piece of 550 cord to hold the bladder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
