Well for me it was also a first time going to a knife exhibition.

Meeting some guys from the forum made it even more special. Thanks guys for bringing and showing your knives. Learned a lot I can say for sure.

Thanks also for the enabling... result was that I got home with a knife

And how could I pass Mr. Leatherman himself.... I couldn't... got my MT 'scratched' too ;)

that's a nice knife i've seen them in one of the displays i wanted to buy one but then i saw the rat 2 and a neck knife so that's the only reason why i didn't get one.

DKE.. A nice gathering of a lot of knife makers/enthousiasts/etc.

It was a fun day. Learned a lot, saw a lot, didn't buy a lot :p, and had a lot of fun..
Thanks de Vries, Purol and JPE for meeting you guys. It was nice meeting you all in person.

    What I bough:

    - some leather working stuff.
    - lansky sharpening system.
    - strop with polishing compound.
    - Wood for makeing my own scales (always wanted t try that).
And this litle cool Enzo knife:

And yes I'm glad I did. I just love this knife. Great little knife for whittling and all the other stuff I use my knives for.. (sorry JPE for enabling you. But I know you love the knife)

    Great stuff everyone!

I'm sorry I had to miss all the fun, but I'm still down with the flue unfortunately.

Looks like I missed out on an Enzo Necker again, that's the third time that knife slips through my fingers now. Just curious, but if you guys don't mind; how much were they at the DKE?

Nice score on the Mcusta as well de Vries! That's a brand I've been curious about for a while too.

Did you make any pics of the knife-tables too perhaps Joost? I'm mostly curious about the custom fixed-blade offerings there, scandies in particular.

    The Necker was 50.-.

Most of the knives had a secondary bevel, Nukknives being the exception.

Too bad about those table-pics, I'll just have to see for myself next year then.

You guys also forgot to take a pic of your combined EDC by the way :D

50 bucks is about the same price as Brisa sells them, so I guess you guys saved yourself the 17 bucks they charge for shipping then [IMG]

i have a question to you guys.
i have the leatherman supertool ( first version it's 18 jears old ) and i just got it signed by tim leatherman at the dke.
i have my leatherman wingman and my charge also signed but the supertool has my name and tim's signature, the wingman and charge only have the signature.
i will be using both the wingman and the charge but i want to retire my supertool becuase it has the signature and my name and it's 18 years old, it's the most special tool to me since i've had it and now it's even more special, so i don't want to use it for the hard work i used it for at work and everyday carry.

Now the big question is i want to get another heavy duty leatherman i've been looking at the supertool 300 becuase i love the old supertool i have now, and i've been looking at the rebar becuase it's almost the same except for the supertool 300 has an medium flathead screwdriver and a stranded wire cutter in the bottom.

i know the rebar isn't advertised as a heavy duty multitool, but the supertool 300 is a heavy duty multitool so which one should i buy, i really like the supertool 300 and the size and weight doesn't matter to me PLEASE!!! help me decide.
