This being an EDC site it should be handguns but since long arms have been mentioned.

One of my dream guns would be a Hofer Vierling. It is a much more expensive gun than any I think that have been mentioned here except possibly a Mini Gun. But a Hofer Vierling can be carried. Now the Vierling would have to be set up to my tastes.

Hofer builds a very very nice gun. I have only seen his very ornate engraved museum quality guns. I would like to see something "plain" by him. Say a 600 NE double with 14.3" length of pull, full weight 22" octagon barrels, express sights, burl walnut stock with matching toothpick style forend not that I have put any thought into it except for 3-4 hours a day for the past few years :)

A 600 Nitro would be overkill for me.

What I want is the side by side 12 gauge with .22 lr under the rib and under the 12 gauge barrels fairly fast twist 6.5 to stabalize long bullets.

I'd be willing to settle for a Purdy 12-bore over under but for that classic look would take a side by side with little hesitation.
