I'm sure most have seen this, but for those who have not
I happen to own 2 RSK Mini-Grips; the S30V and the M2 version. I LOVE them. EXCELLENT knives by the way.I also EDC a whistle ( An Atwood whistle.), I keep a Gerber Multi-tool in my truck.
I started carrying a whistle after reading his article.
There is a wealth of knowledge on his site. I have spent a lot of time there.
His kits make a great starting place. I have a DR Photon and a Mini-RSK in M2.
That is a great knife and is part of my EDC.
I've been wanting a Doug Ritter Mini-RSK Mk.1 forever. If anyone has a nice used spare one in any flavor to let go, please let me know.
They are excellent. You CAN still get them: http://www.aeromedix.com/?_siteid=aeromedix&_&action=mfr&mfrid=dougritter
I love www.equipped.org !
Doug Ritter has done a superb job of putting together a lot of great survival information and placed on that site.
And though I enjoy putting together my own PSKs to experiment with different containers and the equipment that goes in them, I still have a couple of Doug's PSKs because there's some great equipment in them and because part of the proceeds go to the Equipped to Survive Foundation.
I have a couple DR Photon Freedom Micros as well.
I'll be picking up an RSK MK1 soon as well.
It's also one of the few sites that I've made donations to because of the sheer amount of useful information I've gotten there.
The forums there are great as well.
Gold Standard for concept and kit and EDC choices O0
A mini M2, DR Freedom Photon and PSP are important parts of my EDC. And ETS articles give me a lot to think about and ideas to plan my own evacuation/disaster protocols.
Many, many years ago when SureFire only made the 6P and 9P, I found Doug's site in search of something better than a Maglite. It eventually led me to purchase a 9P, a Benchmade 705, and other survival necessities/gadgets. Equipped.org is one of the most useful and informative sites I have ever found.
Yes, it is!! I can't remember how I found the site.
