3rd anker battery that crapped out on me.
So 3 out of 4 are bad.

My 5 year old ravpower still works great, 1st battery bank I bought.
    Going to order one tonight.

Anker was recently banned on Amazon for deceptive reviews. Go figure….

Sorry to hear about your device failure. That stinks:

exactly where do you get this information? I just ordered three items from the Anker company off Amazon the other day.

I can’t speak for their battery packs, but they make some of the best charger cables I have found. And I also like their chargers… I found them to be good quality pretty much the same as OEM.

My apologies. I meant Aukey, not Anker. The article is here:

Never heard of aukey, but my ravpower still works great, and it's old.

Here's the 4th anker I have, who knows how long it'll last.

Been done with them. They used to make some pretty good products for a decent price. Now it's overcharged garbage.

I've got a few Anker products including headphones and earbuds and cables. I don't put them through really hard work, but they all seem to work well.

I’ve got 4 Anker Powercore power banks like the one pictured by the OP. One was purchased in 2016, 2 in 2017, and I received the fourth in the mail today. Hope the 4th is as good as the first three which are still going strong. Also have bought a bunch of cables, AC adapters, and 5 Bluetooth speakers during those same years. Those are all still working fine too. Hope things haven’t changed in current product line. They aren’t designed to last forever, but mine have lasted a pretty reasonable amount of time and seem like good quality products so far. That said, if I had had 3 of 4 break on me (not due to normal design limitations), I’d be done with a brand too.

    Thanks.

I'm going to try out some new battery banks, with quick charge and usbC.

I've been using RavPower for the last half decade plus. Never let me down, :censored: fine kit.

My Anker products are all working fine. In fact I just ordered and received a few more Anker brand cables. To the OP, sorry to hear of your problems but I still have faith in the brand. As for costs going up, welcome to reality.

Sorry you’re having issues. I use ravpower and for chargers and cables I trend towards Anker. The Aukey stuff I’ve had hasn’t lasted very long.

It's unfortunate you've had issues. I've ordered everything from cables (Micro USB and USBC), chargers, and my 20K Mah Powercore powerbank, none of which I've had any problems.

Anker seems to be a decent brand, but nothing more. Their prices have steadily crept up in the last few years, especially after WireCutter started recommending them.

That's a shame about AUKEY. I got a 20W PD charger from them that I use regularly.

I have an Anker 20100 mAh PowerCore in regular use since 2016, and i never had an issue. The only issue is... that is too heavy for EDC.
Weight apart, it's the only item i tried that really can perform 5 or 6 full-capacity recharge of my cellphone (i.e. an entire "stand alone" week of use).
Last time i have tried to see if the storage performances were still good i put up a 6 LED USB stick on it... ended that i took it off after 3 days of continuos use, and the battery capacity was still over 50%.
That said, i think that everyone has his own history and experience, when it comes to tech&gadgets... the good thing is that we share it here with others ! :)
