I wonder how many of the people that sleep with a watch also wear glasses that they take off which also prevents them from reading a clock across the room or on the night stand.

I am in the glasses wearing camp, but I also think I just like things that glow.

I always take off my watch when I go to bed because I will get a rash if I wear it too long. So at night, I just put it in a charging stand.

I wear mine 24/7.... sleeping, awake, work, play... no specific reason, just either forget to take it off, or fall asleep too fast....

I wear a Fitbit Charge 2, 24/7, except to take showers, which is when I charge it. I would love to use my Apple watch 24/7, but its relatively short battery life requires me to charge overnight. For this reason, I don't wear a watch to bed, although, technically, the Fitbit CAN tell me the time...

No, the ticking disturbs me --- it goes into the underwear drawer next to my bed. If I'm camping I put it in my backpack at my feet.

Wow. Not being snarky, but if you're that sensitive to sound, do the crickets etc when camping also keep you awake?

    L'chaim!

Totally with @Moshe ben David on this one...don't get the aversion to ticking watches. It's like expecting kids not to cry...

Crickets are fine --- relaxing really, and I'm inured to traffic as well. The ticking of a nearby watch won't keep me awake long, but if the surroundings are quiet enough for me to hear it, it will take longer than I care for to ignore the sound so I can sleep.

I wear an Apple Watch to bed when I’m traveling. I love the gentle tap tap tap of the alarm and I hate setting hotel alarms/ wake up calls etc. If I need to wake up early and don’t want to wake the household I wear the Apple Watch to bed.

I always wear one to bed. I make sure it’s one of my watches with a light, Seiko quality dive lume, or tritium.

    Carry on,

My Fitbit Ionic is worn 24/7 unless it's charging. It helps track my sleep as well as steps.

Usually one of these: the first has great lume, and the other it a 'trit'.
