    I'm after durability and really comfortable harness .

    if you need more room, Look at the recycled firefighter packs or grey ghost gear line.

    Ive grown fond of the ll bean continental, its about 33 liters but still small enough

    How light are we talking. HMG southwest 2400 is probably the most comfortable, burly ultralight available and a mainstay of through hikers. I could probably get through life with just it and an evade.
