I only carry binder clips, different sizes, clipped to the inside edge of my bag.

    Useful from time to time...

I keep one in my wallet. Never used it, but it takes up almost no space or weight, so why not?

I keep a couple in my medical kits, in case I need to decompress a smashed fingernail (heat the end of a paperclip with the butane lighter I also carry, apply to nail to melt it, press gently). They're clipped to the notebook I carry.

I also usually have a few inside my briefcase, clipped to a divider..

I've used paperclips to repair all kinds of things. They also make a great hook to retrieve items that have gone where your fingers can't. You can even hold pieces of paper together with them. My BOB has five paperclips (and five safety pins) clipped to what I call my "tool ring", which is a Countycomm A&P Mechanics Cable Key Ring with a bunch of stuff on it. I have a few paperclips in my laptop bag, too.

paperclips in the edc bag - since it's also my briefcase - and are carried in a small flyfishing container

at least a few clothespins are in all my bags - wooden ones are 100 for $1 - very useful - use 'em all the time

I have one on my keychain, slipped into the hinge of my P38 to help keep it closed. But given how often I use the P38, I may just remove it from my keyring entirely.

Recently just added one to the keyring; I have a Swisstech tool on it so will be able to shape it in any required way. As to "how" - just clipped to the ring - well, aren't they clips?
