    Gatsby,

Don't follow the masses. Do what ever suites you best. What suites me best is key chain carry of a flashlight. I ALWAYS have my keychain, so it works well for me. I carried the LiteFlux LF2 for a long time, but moved on to the NiteCore DX10.

Unless you plan on pocket-carrying a light at all times, key chain carry is a better alternative (at least, IMHO).

Used to be this Arc AAA, but I've switched to Fenix E01.

Are you kidding? I thought it was illegal to go without. My Draco is waiting for my Drake, which is on the way!

Folks - be careful out there. Light your way. <giggle>

I carry a Fenix L0D CE Q4 on my key ring and a backup Fenix E01 by itself. For most applications, I use the E01. It's good to know the L0D packs more firepower if I need it.

ARC AAA. I like it due to the clip, which allows me to mount it on my Sony E-Book Reader so I can read in low light.

I carry a red LED Photon Micro-Light II. It's nice and small, the RED led lasts the longest and if I actually need it desperately I probably will want to preserve my night vision.

The lights I have on my keychain are three Photon IIIs: red, white and blue.

I have a Fenix E01 on my keyring and a Fenix E0 with the carkey.

Primarily for backup, but I use them both now and then. I also have a P3D and L0D in my backpack.

The LOD CE I carry isn't on my keyring, but it is in my pocket at all times (right next to the keys).

I'm currently carrying a Photon Freedom paired with a Victorinox Rambler on my keychain. I picked up a Fenix LOD to replace the Photon about a yera and a half ago, but I actually like the Photon better for a keyring light. The LOD rides in my pocket and is currently running a AW 10440 LI-Ion battery just to make non flashlight folks say "WOW!" ;D

Im not really a flashaholic, so my one and only EDC light is my Fenix E01 on my keyring. That said it gets alot of use, especially this time of year. The light is tough and reliable, but I will say that I couldn't tell that much of a difference in output between it and the fauxton that came in the order with it from Lighthound. My keychain EDC consists of the E01, sak classic, and a g3 prybaby. A decent minimal combo IMO.

Just got a Streamlight Nano for my keychain to replace the L0D. I am always carrying either my LF2X during the day or 120P at night so it was a little redundant to have the L0D on the keychain.

Thanks to learning about it on EDCF, I just bought one myself. Very impressed with it.

Also bought a Fenix E01 and wasn't initially impressed, since it doesn't put out as much
    light as the Nano.

On the other hand, the voltage on the Nano is about 6v, whereas the E01 is 1.5v.
And the run time is a lot longer with the E01. I also like the small form factor.

Oddly enough, from what I have read both the EO1 and the Nano are supposedly
rated at 10 lumens. But the Nano seems a lot brighter.

Now if Fenix could make something the size of the E01 that is as good as their
P1D CE model, I'd be very happy. I love my P1D but it's a bit heavy and big
for my car keys, which I like to keep light.

    Yes, but twice as powerful. Max lumens on the P1D is supposed to be 180;
Fenix brochure rates the L0D-Q4 at max 75 lumens.

But maybe I would not be able to tell the difference.

The L0D-Q4 is on my Wish List, thoughy......!
