Photon Freedom on the keychain.
Two fauxtons. Don't really see the need for anything more expensive.
No light on my keychain.
On my house keys no, but there's a CC pocket light on the car key ring.
"Do you carry a light on your key ring?"
I keep an Arc-P on my vehicle keys.
A photon freedom on my keychain, as a backup to an Orb Raw loose in my pocket. The Orb is rechargeable and gets used a lot more.
I have a Inova Micro on my keys, and use it like 2 to 3 times a week.
maglight solitaire... it's sucky and serves more as a keyfob than anything else.
I've thought about modding it... but don't know where to get a dang LED! *sigh* and i've yet to get the E01 *sigh*
that being said i'm not sure i'd use a better light more than the solitaire gets used.
Here is one source for a Solitaire LED upgrade: led-replacement.com
I have bought LED modules from this dealer before and the transactions were satisfactory.
DealExtreme fauxton. I seldom need more light than that provides.
Inova Micro on my keys and quite like it.
Just a small Swiss+Tech keyring light on my car keys. It's durable, small, light and convenient.
Looks like a plastic disk with a metal rim and a push button in the middle of the disk.
I do have a Fenix P1D and I love it, but there are too many things on my car keys already
and the Fenix would weigh it down too much. Maybe when Winter arrives and I have
more clothing and pockets I'll stick it in a pocket.
I find I only use a keychain light occasionally so the tiny Swiss+Tech is adequate so far.
Fenix L0D-CE for the last half a year or so. Had an Arc AAA-P there before for I don't even remember how long. I actually liked the Arc better, but I've kept the L0D there because it has the neat turbo mode, which could maybe impress someone sometime.
(Btw, there's a difference between HAIII and HAIII... The Fenix already looks much worse for the wear than the Arc, which has not laid idle since it left my keyring. Oh no, it has been dropped repeatedly, played with, and used as a beating, hitting, and banging instrument by my son. And it still works just fine and looks exactly the same as the day I got it. Not a single ding or scratch in it. I'm impressed.)
I keep a surefire E1b in my pocket so my keychain light is just one of those photon LEDs.
I LOVED the Inova Micro that I used to carry, but the *&%$£ing thing kept switching on in my pocket, so I now carry one of those Dealextreme fauxtons & the only reason Im on something like my 4th or 5th one is that I keep giving them away.
I also carry one on the split ring of my EDC SAK Explorer/Handyman
I still have a blue Inova on my keyring. I recently added a white LED light I got as a freebie with an order from Lighthound. Not bad for its price. The switch is on/off only. No momentary/signal mode to it.
The Photon X-Light Micro that I used to carry on my keyring is now clipped to my EDC bag.
An Arc-P. Its so light and small i barely notice it's there.
Interesting results thus far - although it somewhat confirms that for a lot of people who EDC the key ring light is, if you carry one at all, primarily a last ditch backup. And size/weight is pretty key.
While a key ring size light makes an attractive EDC light for pocket or designated tool ring carry - it seems that many prefer the much smaller Photon style size lights.
Now I'm really having to think about moving my Liteflux into EDC rather than key ring duty!
I, too, carry a Streamlight Nanolight on my keys. VERY bright for such a tiny light (very inexpensive, too!.) I just ordered three more now that winter is coming. I'll be putting them on some jackets as zipper pulls, so it's always out and ready.
