Do you all think Kryptek Typhon looks to "Tacticool"?

The Highlander and Mandrake patterns always remind me of "Predator"; kind of that in focus out of focus. Really dig it

How do you like your Tara? I have looked real hard at that pack as well. Still may get one.

Honestly this "tacticool" marketing crap is just that--crap. Some people buy it just because it's said to be "tacticool" and just as many people won't buy it just because it's said to be "tacticool". Novel concept: buy what you like and what works for you and tune out any unnecessary bull**** from others. Rant over.

I have a couple of them and they are great when you don't need to carry much. They are well made and very minimalist, just a couple of wand pockets on the sides and nothing inside but a hang loop. The yoke is able to handle more weight than the pack can hold. Lol

Exactly...buying because of the cool factor or in this case, "tacticool" isn't always the best option.

Here is a pic of a SOP with a tightly rolled large hoodie, nalgene bottle, standard size FAK pouch, and a maxpedition pouch. You can fit a few more smaller items but this should give you an idea of what it can fit.

Sorry for the pic size but it looks like imageshack went full :censored: and wants to charge for linking bigger pictures.

The guys at Grey Ghost Gear dropped this off at my door this weekend...going to test it out this coming weekend. (sorry for the sloppy camera work...using a cheesy tablet without auto focus)

That's a Grey Ghost Gear "Coffin" Sling Bag. Just a prototype model so there may be changes to the final product in 8-10 weeks. At least that's what I heard the release date is. Could use an extra pocket or two inside, but it's super comfortable...so much my wife wants it for herself now.

That's usually the seal of approval - when your S/O wants it for themselves. :D

yeah...except she wants to sew a Targaryen patch over the GGG logo. The Kryptek does look like it could be some sort of Dragon Armor.

I've just taken a look at it on Google and I don't think it looks 'tacticool' at all in grey. It looks low profile and sleek if you ask me. :)
