So yesterday after usning my LM Wave to cut and strip wire, hold wire staple so I could nail them in while installing some low voltage lighting. This morning I needed them again to break a knockout cover off on the outdoor outlet so I could plug in the transformer.

The power went out in the entire neighborhood from 830am til noon. Took my Maratac AAA to the gym, in my complex, and needed it almost immediately when I had to go pee. No light in the bathroom!!! I always carry my Salt when I run/work out but as I wee'd I thought about the infamous urinal knife.:D
Later, I had to wash the dog since he decided to chase a goose into the pond behind my place. Powers still out so I used # of my lights... Maratac AAA, Four Sevens QPA pro AA and Fenix LD22.
At lunch I used my wedding ring to open a beer.

Let the older kids play outside last night until after it got dark. Middle one came in and said "come see what we built" so I went outside to see. But it was dark and they had built their masterpiece at the edge of the trees so the house lights didn't help.

So outcomes the Novatac OPMOD 120 torch to light up the night....

They had built a 3 sided shelter using tree limbs, small branches, and brush that 2 kids could huddle under. I was very proud.

while going to my college classes today I noticed a car in the middle of the road. The front end had been smashed up pretty bad and I could see a big black thing struggling in front of the car when I got near the car I started hearing a lady yelling and something squealing. When I looked in the window she started frantically pointing and yelling at me "kill It! kill It!" when I shined my light over in the direction she was pointing I noticed a pig trying to come after me only using its front legs:( . I drew my handgun (Glock 23 today) and shot it three times. then I helped the lady move her car off to the side of the road, loaded the pig up into my truck, and stayed with her until some old guy picked her up.

I had a pretty eventful morning.

Worked the John Scofield concert the other night (only the greatest jazz guitarist since Wes Montgomery). My store provided drums and I was helping the back-line/sound guys.

Used my Cryo, flashlight, and LM a number of times on/back stage.

Apparently, he wasn't kidding about the varmitslaying either...

Over her, we have badgers, deer and the occasional elk, but pigs?

:D Ya, I thought feral pigs were just an issue in Australia. I just googled feral pigs and apparently they're becoming a big problem across the north. WEIRD.

My boss asked me to cut down a poster that a vendor had failed to trim properly. It was mounted on a 1/4" foam-core backing so my usual go-to X-Acto wasn't going to work. My boss then hands me a beat-down utility blade that I wouldn't use to cut toast. I waited until he left the room and used my pocketknife instead. My boss doesn't really like that I carry a knife but he should be thankful I do, 'cause I'd probably be in the emergency room if I'd used the blades he provides us.

A fellow staff member needed a paperclip to help him get a simcard out of his phone but there was none in my post. But I lent him my Ti toothpick and he got the job done.He said it was an interesting/unusual bit of gear while looking at me funny.

Used county comm gear ties to make a cable holder for macbook pro charger cord. Needed to get the think cord of the charger to stay in a nice coil so it would go in the bag and stay put.

Then used my smart phone all afternoon and evening to try to get our :censored: phone service provider to answer questions about why we can't make outbound calls from the office at all. STILL chasing that one too...

Used Vic ratchet off my keychain and a bit kit T10 to take pocket clip off of my Wingman. Carried Wingman instead of Wave today, used the scissors to cut packaging straps from a food box. Used my Nook for a couple hours, just killing time sitting in the sun enjoying the warm afternoon.

Luckily I had every last Oz. of my EDC (including a third knife I've taken to carrying lately) to keep me from blowing away in the wind between my car and the front door of the plant this evening. Close one.
