    Hi all!

After getting quite some input in my other thread, I'm now at that point where I can't decide between those two. I know is a personal decision to make and depends on the usage, but maybe you could give me some points I'm totally missing on the one or the other and help me therefore to decide.

What will I use it for
    - Inspection of PCB, other electronics
    - Low/Medium mode
    - Neutral light
    - Illuminating my path home
    - Medium/High mode

    Fenix E99 Ti
    - Lens: TIR
    - LED: CREE XP-E2
    - 100 Lumen: 0 h 50 m
    - 27 Lumen: 4 h 15 m
    - 4 Lumen 28 h 00 m

    Fenix E05SS
    - Lens: TIR
    - LED: CREE XP-E2
    - 85 Lumen: 0 h 45 m
    - 25 Lumen: 4 h 15 m
    - 8 Lumen: 15 h 00 m

    Thanks for your input!

    Regards AllINeedToCarry

Because it's not a search for any kind of light that matches my criteria anymore. It's a decision between those two.
And since I haven't found any other thread, which may help others too, that compared these two, I decided to start a new thread and get some input together :).

    I vote the E99Ti.

It's titanium, has more variability in light selection, it's titanium, and ultimately you'll probably buy both

But you should start with the titanium one.

Titanium really looks nice, but is the 4 lumens mode really usable? How does it compare to the 8 lumens of the E05?

I see, this board will cost me a lot of money ;-).

    I have both.

The 4 lumens is very useful, in fact I'd prefer even less for the low option.

However, when considering the price difference, the Ti is only worth it if you "want" the Ti. The E05 is a better light for the money, the Ti is only better if you want 'the best option' irrelevant of price.

I always seem to get substantially less battery life out of AAA's than expected and for that reason I use the Fenix E12. If you simply must choose from your list, i would select the E99 Ti

Price difference is about 9€, so no bummer.
Can you read the newspapers with 4 lumens?
