Black lava rock with copper spacers
Did you buy this or make this?

I made it. I try to come up with colors and designs that match my gear.
Nothing beats a home made bracelet. I must have bought a dozen or more similar (but not nearly as nice as yours) bracelets on my last South East Asia trip back in 2005. Gave them away as gifts. Yours is very cool looking though.
Where is a good place to look to get supplies? I tried looking yesterday to no avail. I like the idea of making gifts for family, and wouldn't mind making one for myself
Thanks! They can be bought very cheaply. I buy some to take apart for materials. Others I do from scratch.
I pick up a few things at (shudder) Walmart. Most of their beads are either cheap plastic or a bit too feminine. But they have stretch cord and some metal beads. The best source I've found is eBay. Most of it comes from China so don't be in a hurry. But you can buy packages of 20, 50, 100 at a time for very little. I usually do auctions and bid on several and take the cheapest. Good luck!
Thank you! I'm looking at trying to get some stone beads and using 1/16" cord. What is the diameter on the what you normally find on the 'bay?
Just search for stretch cord. Most is 1mm. I would stay away from the thinner stuff (although I haven't used it).
Here are a couple more that go with today's theme.

Very nice! I really like how you matched colours with the ring, turned out beautifully.
Thank you sir! That was the plan all along.
I have made a decent number of bracelets in the past few years, but I've never been able to find a good source of metal hardware, like split rings or clasps, would you have any suggestions? I'm Canadian if my spelling of colour didn't make it obvious.
If you look at my pics you'll see I don't use clasps or hardware for fastening. It's just simple stretch cord that is tied in a triple knot hidden under a bead. That being said, most of the supplies I use come from eBay, with a bit from Amazon and some from Walmart and some craft stores. Hope that helps!
Today's white Howlite stone bracelet
Are those copper spacers solid or plated? Anymore it seems to be hard to find solid copper materials.
I don't honestly know but I would guess plated because of the price. This is the first time I've used them but they seem to hold up fairly well.

If you buy a bag of copper washers, a bag of blackened steel washers and some metal glue at your average hardware store you could easily make those spaces yourself. Not tko expensive and would probably wear way nicer than plated stuff.
What size stone beads are you using?
