Way less of the droplets that you breath, sneeze and cough out, will be airborne. That’s the whole idea.

So I just ordered from autoanything and they are getting masks made by Cover King the huge manufacturer of automotive fabric cover products and they have what seemed to me a fairly good solution and they can ship out on Monday too!

They are also donating a set for every set ordered which is a good thing to be part of too probably.

Anyway they were a lot cheaper too than direct from the Cover King website though you can only get them from autoanything in Model T colors which I am OK with!

    Just an FYI.

There are several diy instructions with no sewing. They do use hair ties, but rubber bands could easily be exchanged for hair ties. If don’t have bandana, then cut a pillow case or t-shirt which might be better anyway.

I have spent so much in 'tailor tax' ,you would think I had a sewing machine by now. Tried a hand made one, fogged up my glasses too much. lucky I was not driving. I like the look of the Asian ones I see on the News. amazon.

We picked up some of the Tool Box brand yesterday. I would have preferred the Zep towels, but this should be fine. While I’m capable of running the sewing machine, my better half is far more proficient; she’s at it right now.[IMG]

Found a box of fpp1 (Not as good as fpp2 / n95) dust masks that are used at work when doing bits of woodwork, they might have to do. Might have a proper respirator lurking about but the builds guy probably has that!

Main plan is not going out if I’m honest, certainly not where there are other people - not sure if I’d be required to wear one when walking the dog on empty suburban streets?

I got a text this afternoon that we are now required to wear one at work . They are supplied.
Every man ought to have a basic knowledge of sewing . I have 2 or 3 I have made but haven't got what I want yet.

I have sold a few sewing machines due to the rush to make mask . I pick up old sewing machines that I find interesting and fix them up . My collection was getting out of hand . I have sold 5 and give one to a friend. So that is a positive thing coming out of this mess . I an under 10 machines now

If wearing boxers on my head is the only option for going out, I'm never leaving home again! :bounce:

Keep these in my truck. I stocked extra N95’s back in January.

Maybe if you taped a doubled up pipe cleaner on a piece of the material where the bridge of the nose is. If you don’t have a pipe cleaner maybe a few bags ties twisted together.
