Just opened up my CC package and started checking out my new copper light a few minutes ago. Wow....is it ever purdy. It's not switching on to high perfectly each time so perhaps I just need to clean the threads. The output looks excellent and on par with the my other Maratac AAAs. The head seems to heat up rapidly when I run it on high, so I guess the copper is doing its job.

I don't know of many full copper lights by any manufacturer so this a really interesting leap for CountyComm and Maratac. I think it's a great idea given the small form factor. I'm a die-hard 10440 user so I can see the all copper body being very helpful in pulling heat away from the pill.

    More later............

    Nice.
My standard finish is a little shinier after a trip through the washing machine last week. Still works perfectly- a tribute to the toughness of these little guys.

Man is that cool ! Do you know if there is a protective coating on the copper ? If not it will look super cool with a nice patina from handling ,)

There's no coating on the copper, it's just high polished and left bare. :)

    Oooo... It's so pretty. :)

Hey Patriot, does the polish tarnish easily?

I suppose that all bare copper eventually will but honestly I don't know how quickly that will be with "normal" use.

Just posted the Youtube review here

I made it late last night so bare with .....

    Just ordered two Cu AAA's.
FYI-Caution- I look too long shopping for other cool things they have-CountryComm(CC) isn't the most user freindly shopping website I've seen-remindes me of a 6-8year old shopping web site-it takes extra time to hunt thru their offerings-you have to click on things similar to what you think you might want to buy to find what you really might want to buy- (A real disservice to the CC owner IMHO)-I know this by shopping CC over the past 3-4 years-if you just started at CC you would miss many cool items- Paypal(the Country Comm shopping cart) will empty your cart for "security reasons" unless you happen to login to PP real quick and already have a PP account...Before you add items to the cart familarize youself with CC's website format or might get and emptied cart-and after a couple of hours of shopping that may tend to pxss you off! My compliments though to CC he does have many cool 'made in US" milspecNSN# items-even U.S Made/MSN#'d tweezers recommended by Stormin' Normon hisself!!!

So true. I run into this issue with the Ti Preon. It's very slippery.

I have a plain finish I got a week or two ago. It's my first quality EDC light, and I must say, it's exemplary.

Did you receive your two Cu's yet? Just curious what you thought.

I'm still loving mine. A great new variation of an old reliable friend.
