I had them long before the 'stache, and they're just sort of part of me, I guess. I've never been one to follow any path directly. I'm multifaceted :D

Halfway between teddy and the rich guy from the daily show. Did he have facial hair? If he did, it looked like that.

    Also, other people with piercings.

(I have a tragus stud as well as some scars from things I got sick of)

Especially having been a wedding photog for 10 years, if you don't notice something you're either in a lot of trouble or spending a lot of time in photoshop.

I did a hike yesterday that was right by the Spyderco HQ, so I stopped by to get my knives sharpened and to look at all the nice things I'm not going to buy for a long time. On my way out they gave me this.

Well great, so much for not wanting new stuff...
    it's only $600, I'll take 3...

I played with the Mantra. It is a very very nice feeling knife. I think its $210

And this might be my grail knife at the moment. The Manix 2 with Carbon Fiber handle and 154CM/S90V blade... only $340

I really like the look of the 40th Native and the Rock Salt also looks like a nice knife.

I held both, and I actually preferred the Mantra over the Mantra 2. I like the sleek look of the Mantra 2, but that thumb ramp really enhances the control over the blade.

Yeah, if i had $600 to drop on one knife ever, I'd go for that 40th native. So sweet.

Yeah, $600 is a deal breaker for me. Too many other things I need before shelling out that much on any knife.

What's the blade length on the rock salt?

I may swing by the Golden store tomorrow to check it out.

My thumb is perfectly covering the specs. It's a 6.75" blade, 6" edge length. It is a sweet looking knife, and especially in H1 steel

Just pulled the trigger on the Leatherman Squirt PS4. I went with red. Now I just need someone to buy more of my things so I can have that nice brass S1 on the way too ;)

Not sure if I want to pay $340 for a Spyderco, even with CF.
Looks like a nice blade shape though :-/

I think I'd have a hard time spending that much on any knife, honestly

Something like a Hinderer I could do. Or Chris Reeves. Not sure about Spyderco though. I'd have to handle it first.

I was looking through all the classic folders on knife center, because thats a great thing to do all the time, and I came across the Buck 303 Cadet. It's much more affordable than a Northwoods Madison Barlow (though I still want one of those). Has anyone ever had any buck folders of that type? I'm not sure about the 440HC, but its a gorgeous knife. I'd just rather know that it is also a useful knife.

I remember thinking that once as well...

Funny how things turn out sometimes.
