I love the looks of that ZT the more I see it. What's the model # again? I'm a big ZT fan, just blanking on that one at the moment.
It's the ZT0392 backwashed w' bronze hardware. Love this knife!! I like the ITS Tactical logo in your profile pic. They've got some great stuff.
I'll have to write that down so I don't forget it. Yeah, they do have some neat stuff. Their articles/videos convinced me to pickup a lockpick set (though I didn't buy theirs) instead of using the homemade paperclip picks I had been using
What kind of picks did you get? I have a peterson euro profile kit, lovely wintertime tv-couch fun, like a very ninjaish alternative to knitting.
In the immortal words of Crocodile "That's not a knoife" Dundee: BREKFST And yes i drink my coffee with milk. I said it, out of the mall ninja closet and now i'm out of the milky coffee closet. Ha! Such empowerment! Plz dont judge.
I picked up a very basic southord brand kit from massdrop at a cheap price. Since I'm new to it I didn't want to go with the thinner euro picks, which I've heard are a lot easier to snap, especially as a beginner. Those peterson picks are nice. ETA: Ninjaish indeed!
Nice!! My second set was a southard slimline kit which later i sold to a friend to be able to afford the peterson kit but i never felt they were brittle at all. Idk what my first set was though, they were fine for cheaper padlocks but when i went on to cheap brand locks they were too thick. Otoh pin by pin picking is a very gentle craft so unless you try to bend the tumbler with your picks i think most flexible steel ones ought to do just fine. As long as you're not dealing with euro type locks (we got crazy thin keyways over here) you wont have much trouble i think. Give them a gentle stropping if they are grind-sharp out the box and be like water, it's all in the whispers of the tension wrench. If you want to keep your money and i suggest you shave off a few even micrometers on one side with a ultra fine grit sander or a fine bristled steel brush of some kind, gently without getting them hot. Save that for later though! Enjoy picking!

Woah SciFi-Sick!! Looks like something a T-800 endoskeleton would deploy from its ribcage. The locking mechanism is nuts. Cheers, Rf
I'm not generally a big CRKT fan; but the design, execution, and quality/fit and finish of this knife is fantastic for the price! If only CRKT would make it in S30V or some other better steel. In the humid climate I live in, it's developed rust spots after a few months just sitting in my edc/vehicle bag. Curse you, 8cr13! Are you listening, CRKT?
