Well, yeah. In our household we ask each other what the rest of the family wants. I have known my wife for 22 years and been together for about 16. Kids want specific things too. Saves a lot of trouble Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G950F met Tapatalk
A new tool box I think. And slippers. And definitely something from Under Armour. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Im hoping to just get the day with my kids and my granddaughter. Time with them is the best gift. I just got the gift of recovery from 3rd degree burns on both knees. So altogether a great Christmas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yup. That happens, but still, it’s not like I really know until Christmas eve. If Christmas does in fact deliver on my wishlist this year, I get nothing at all. Probably won’t happen, cause people strangely have a hard time accepting things like that.
We are 70 miles from the grandchildren with Christmas midweek we did ours yesterday (Saturday) I got a flannel jacket giftcard tea balls and tea
I am getting two days off from work mid-week and hopefully some quiet time at home with my wife and our cats. I don't need any more stuff to accumulate. I am long over the commercial aspect of Christmas and all of the buying and giving and later bill-paying it entails.
Thin technical gloves, a Mora Eldris or two and I think some cured meat of some kind. It is good that it is better to give than to receive as I give a lot more gifts than I get. Natural as I have a good bunch of nieces, nepfews and godsons from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K
Use my knives?? *gasp* *shock* *horror* ;-) I mainly collect knives and lead a very sedentary computerbound existance. So other than opening a few boxes I have little real need of knives other than food prep and fruit slicing (for this I mainly use my Boker Plus ChefYouGo) If I were to use one of my Eldrisessess? Eldri? It would be as a general purpose 'tollekniv' as we call it here in Norway. Light whittling and other household uses. The kind of knife people without a knife collection might throw in a kitchen counter drawer for the times they need to cut something not food related around the house from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K
You don't use them? I understand the collecting part, but it seems like a shame to never use a knife. I collect(ed) knives as well, but make a point of using them. Not judging in anyway. To each their own. Merry Christmas from Holland Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G950F met Tapatalk
For me it will be a new organizer for all my work crap since the last one has worn out. And 3 days of copious amounts of food. Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G950F met Tapatalk
I use them when I need to. Problem is I seldom need them. I use a scissor more often. I have a number of scissors also as I work close to Fiskars norwegian offices. They have a yearly factory sale... My relatives that sow have gotten all the scissors they need from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K
Question since you are Norwegian. Helle or Stromeng? I have been wanting a Stromeng Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G950F met Tapatalk
Stomeng for the big sami knives. Helle for shorter laminated blades. Stromeng for woodwork, Helle for meats/butchering from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K
KS8F is supposedly the model handed out to the norwegian special forces from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K
My wife and I stopped exchanging gifts a few years ago because if I wanted something I just buy it. We usually take a trip this time of the year with the family. Last year we went to Whistler BC for Christmas and New Years. This year we are going to the Greenbrier for New Years in Sulphur Springs, WV.
I impulse bought myself a Marlin 1895 SBL in 45/70 last month, along with a leather butt stock shell holder, matching leather sling and stainless sling swivels. That was the Christmas budget for myself and then some. LOL. Wife and I buy what we want during the year, so there's not much for presents under our tree. We're actually going ice fishing tomorrow instead of sitting around the house.
This went surprisingly well. One pair of socks and a wool hat. Not totally useless, and as close to nothing as I could possibly hope to get. Merry Christmas y’all
