    I'll be carrying one of my Dads favorite slip joints... He passed away on Dec. 13, 2011... little over a week ago.

    And I'll also have a case mid folding hunter with red christmas tree jigged bone on it... my usual christmas day knife for the past few years.

    Sorry to hear about your loss, especially at this time of year.

    In addition to my Dragonfly I will have a small wire snips to release the toys from their packages.

    My crazy kids don't any help getting into presents but those zips ties are tough. ( Probably Shears) As for me, I’ve been too naughty to worry about opening anything. ;)

    Probably something small like an Alox Cadet or Pioneer or maybe a Buck 55. Maybe I'll let my oldest daughter borrow it to open her package from me. She mentioned a while back that I've given knives to everyone in the family but her, so she is getting a Benchmade Shoki in carbon fiber.

    I've changed my mind. :laugh: I'm now going for my Country Cousins sodbuster (and pico widgy for staples and such). There will be no ankle-biters around this year with stuff that needs assembly - thankfully - and my little soddy is so nice, and criminally underused. We're developing quite the patina now as well;

    I used my Gayle Bradley all day today and plan on using it for the remainder of the holidays.

    Is it weird that I look forward to Christmas just so I can use my knife more?

    Totally with you here. Working behind a desk all day doesn't give me as many opportunities as other professions.

    It's the Kershaw Leek for me, since I don't rotate through items for my EDC.

    Spyderco Paramilitary 2
    Victorinox Classic

    Since it'll be indoors, none of the above will get used though. There are nice sharp kitchen knives, good full-sized scissors, and full toolbox available.

    For at home I am thinking maybe the orange Spyderco military or benchmade 755 MPR. The. For at the relatives if Santa brings me some goodies I'll use the Spyderco Chinese folder of zt 0300 ( if it comes in the mail tomorrow)

    I'll probably use my new Kershaw Select Fire I picked up for $10 this week or my Surge.
