I disagree. When one is looking for a dispenser, a tin may not fit the bill, making it inferior to a dispenser, making it apples/oranges rather than potato/potato.

Saw that, was thinking of posting it but then got distracted by fresh brisket sandwiches.

Well the buns were just out of the oven, there was a big burger inside and then the wife (best in the world) pulls out two huge briskets cooked in honey and mustard from a massive pot and asks if I want a slice or two on top of the burger in the fresh bun. You can see why I would forget chewing gum dispensers.

    Marry that girl! Again!

… this reminded me of the time a friend introduced me to a "new" place for lunch … the special that day was a pot roast melt with caramelized onions and sweet potato fries … been gong back ever since …

You know I've never seen the appeal of gold myself. I'm much more of a silver kind of guy but it does ooze luxury, I'll give you that.

No argument there! Doesn't it leave a green ring on your finger? Or I'd that just with cheap fake jewellery?

Gold looks so, well, cheap. That make sense? At least yellow gold. Like it's just trying too hard. I buy my wife white and rose gold jewellery, seems classier somehow.

Agreed! Especially since everyone puts *gold* stuff on everything nowadays. Even shoes and jackets and stuff

masofnos I'll be interested to know. It wouldn't be a very good choice for a wedding ring I imagine then though.

It as much about design as material used. I have a pair of engine turned cuff links from the 1930s/1940s. It was made in yellow gold, and wouldn't look right in rose or white gold.

Hate to say it but country of origin seems to have some impact too. The US seems to have some of the most butt fugly currency while other countries seem to effortlessly produce stuff that should be in museums.

Oppi Untracht's mandela of jewelry design might offer some clues as to why so many recent designs are so hopelessly uninspired....

I don't know if I'm crying because I'm laughing so much, or if I'm laughing so much because I'm crying with fear!
