Consider laguiole is a style of knife, how could it be called the name if it doesn't even close to one? It's about as laguiole as my spyderco endura...

Mmmmhh, cause it’s from the “Forge de Laguiole”, who also offer “Laguiole corkscrews”, “Laguiole Table Cutlery”, and “Laguiole Cigar Cutters”.

Wow! What an ugly take on a beautiful and classic French knife. I have a Forge de Laguiole knife and that carbon fiber knife is a monstrosity. Just terrible!!!

they must have figured, "we will only sell 7. so we must pay for all the r&d, manufacturing, marketing, division mgmt and write-offs with those 7 sales. So we will charge 990 eur."

Not only is the price insane, but the knife is ugly as well.

Who comes up with this tripe?

I'd say the endura is closer - at least it has some contouring. It looks like they ran out of money before they finished the handle...

I don't think they spent much on R&D.

Looks like an ugly butane lighter. Shame that it shares a name with a classic blade.

I don't think it's ugly. It looks kinda cool, but uncomfortable. If I was actually gonna pay for one, I wouldn't go over $115.
