Can't find a picture of the Boker Batman online.
Can any of you find one?
None of those are of the one in Boker's new catalog. It is supposed to be released in late March. It is kind of a hawkbill with scallops acting as large serrations. I don't think it is my kind of knife but I think there are some out here that would like it.
It is designed by Keven Harsey.
Is "Batman" the official name? If it is you can bet that Warner Bros./DC Comics would be chomping at the bit for a lawsuit. All the work Daywalker has done to bring back the German Giant would be undone!! Nooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is on page 55 of their 2009 catalog and it is just called Batman. Their 2008 catalog can be found online but I can't find the 2009 one.
Isn't "Batman" a small province in Pakistan, too?
The word can mean a lot of things, I doubt anyone can claim exclusive use of the word.
Yeah, there's a Batman in Turkey too. I was just trying to point out how litigious and petty big [particularly media] corporations can be.
Ironically enough, there's a story about how the Turkish province actually tried to sue Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan.
“The mayor is prepping a series of charges against Nolan and Warner Bros., which owns the right to the Batman character, including placing the blame for a number of unsolved murders and a high female suicide rate on the psychological impact that the film’s success has had on the city’s inhabitants.”
Geez, I tried and tried to wring something out of Google (image search, text, SOMETHING), but to no avail.
I'm curious to see what this knife looks like!
The blade looks kind of like a long slender batwing. You just have to see one. I can't find one to show you.
Got one now. These are about 2 months out according to Boker.

This will not appeal to everyone. Kind of like super serrations on these.
Quite strange looking, and appealing in a weird way. What's the blade length and steel?
OL 8.25 BL 3.75 12C27 Sandvik steel two tone polish finish G-10 scales w/lanyard and pocket clip. They describe it as a radical hawkbill.
I like the looks of that knife. But the blade seems like it would be a pain to sharpen!
I am guessing it could be.
Not sure if they still have them but Senior Officers in the British Army would have a soldier (Usually an NCO, I think!) who acted as their sort of assistant/valet/butler & he would be called a Batman.
I rather like the look of that blade, too.
censored: you, Boker! I'll NEVER, EVER be wealthy!!!)
I don't usually like any hawkbills..but that is awesome. I might be getting one when they're available. so cool.
Can't be any worse than other hawkbills.
But 12c27? Surely it should have better steel than $12 mora? Not saying 12c27 is a bad steel but for the price that boker will be charging I would expect better.
What if the retail was $34.98 The grind on that is alot tougher to do than some others.
