    I have had the bag several weeks now and love it. I have only hiked with it 2 times. Neither time was over 25lbs. I really like the color and size. Im not sure if I could do a winter backpacking trip but definately could go 3-4 days during the summer. I like the fleece lined pockets. Very nice for sensitive items. The front pocket has lots of organization unlike most of my traditional backpacks.

    Nice...I like the fact that they have side pockets. Going to have to look into this one.

    I have the original tri-color BFM that I was given for Afghanistan. I still use it all the time for civilian hikes and camping. I wish mine had the lined pockets. All that was in mine when I got it was a dead mouse. The actual furry kind. Guess we all make our bags into home at times.

    I have the original BFM in ACU, Foliage, OD, and DCU. I've been through way too many different uniforms. I guess I will get a MultiCam one soon. I've been waiting to actually see the BFM 500 somewhere to compare it to the old one. I really like the quality of the old ones and worry about them dropping down to the 500D and it not being as durable.

    I could be wrong, but I'm guessing it's just a reflector that "glows" thanks to the camera flash.

    I think it is Nite Ize L.E.D. cinch marker, http://www.niteize.com/collections/led/products/led-cinch-marker
    I have older model of this myself and i like it since it`s easy to attach to different backpack`s etc. and visibility is very good.

    @awad

    Try Ranger Joes or US Cav. Both have solid service and US Cav actually contracts as a storefront on some Army bases.

    Would this bag work as a carry on or is it too big? I'm also wondering if the black will look too military?

    Its a Nite-Ize. I bought it at Dicks Sporting Goods. Around $5. Its like a battery powered chem light.

    I bought it from www.gearzoneproducts.com. Their prices seem pretty good.

    I have not flown commercial in several years but I think it would work fine. Its a good size bag but you would not have pack it full.

    I'm thinking about getting one of these but I'd like to see how it sits on the body.
    Can you take a pic with someone wearing it?

    Looks good and should last a while. Still got my desert tri-color from a few years ago, and it is holding up great.

    What are those green plastic clips on the outside side pockets? They look like a plastic clip that attaches to a strap or molle loop and open up to a quick attachment. I have this bag but I would love something like that!
