I just thought I would make a thread to see how many Aussies are here and where we all live.

    I am in Sydney :)

Ballarat - Used to EDC knives until they set up one of those random police weapons checks at parliament station one day. I got straight back on the train, went home and took them out of all my EDC gear. At $1000 instant fine per knife it would have been an expensive day. Now I just carry a stitch cutter in my wallet and a SAK and Gerber Recoil when working (used for work so legal).

I've got a SAK Climber attached to my key bunch. When I'm out on the bike I've got a Crank Bros multi tool and a LM Skeletool CX. Also have a Charge Ti which comes out when I'm camping but no other time away from the house. I'm not entirely sure what the laws are here in WA being fresh off the boat but saw a guy walking round the maternity ward with a large black hunting blade attached to his belt and on the outside of his clothes - hardly inconspicuous. Had to give security a buzz as I don't want to see idiots like that walking round my hospital unchallenged.

Depends on where in WA you are. In some parts I would think that you'd be the odd one out for not having a knife on your belt.

I've gone from EDCing emerson knives, to spydercos, to now carrying a leatherman with the changing culture and legislation. More and more often I'm finding a skeletool cx in my pocket - I've got the important tools covered, a decent blade steel, its light and comfortable to use, and fairly unoffensive. I also tend to carry a Fenix E11 to complement it.

If I'm going somewhere more formal, I'll put a Juice in my pocket with a little Photon press light attached.

Mind you, some days I do still miss having a dedicated full size knife in my pocket...

Also, T.C. - you alright up in Bundy?

Living in Sydney. EDC a delica 4. I used to carry a cold steel ti-lite but it is only suited to one purpose.
