This should arrive in a week or so. Will use it strictly at the office.
Tk:aro glass water bottle.
Oohh... I so wish that this had worked. Tried it a couple of times over the weekend with my 20oz. KK insulated bottle and Capcap. On the second attempt, I noted the times: 4 minutes in boiling water, 2 minutes in ice bath, a few more minutes sitting on the counter before removing the cap. Still leaks. Maybe somewhat less, but still...
I'll continue to look for an o-ring that will fit inside the cap to seal it up. This is my favorite bottle and I really like the cap, so it's worth a bit of effort.
As I noted in my earlier post, the Capcap people (Human Gear) specifically say (on their website) that the cap is not compatible with KK bottles.
A few seasons ago, I left my bottle outside the tent to collect water in the night while it rained, it made a big impact on my kids and they collect water every time it rains. Nice work boys!

Excellent work - thanks so much. Exactly what I needed in order to make an informed decision.
I like this one!! Classy!!
I am looking for a stainless steel bottle over 64OZ (Maximum size Klean Kanteen offers). 128/144oz would be a good size.. Anyone sells those?
I found this one, but I don't know how legit their sizing is.
Edit: Looks like it says 20oz in the description
nalgene frost makes the biggest diffuser I have seen.

Always had fuel in my MSR bottles, sort of liked the distinction.
Found that the Eagle Claw Fish Mouth Spreaders work well on the stainless steel nalgene/guyot bottles to hook from the inside as a bail handle. http://www.amazon.com/Eagle-Claw-Fis...agle+claw+fish
I like my Camelbak Better Bottle 22oz. I keep one in the car and have one on my bike. Just ordered an 18oz Klean Kanteen with ring top and sports cap 2.0 based on recommendations on here. 27oz was out of stock for now.
I also picked up a Vapur collapsible bottle which is great for travel. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vapur-Anti-Bottle-Cyan-Blue/dp/B004ZKIO04/ref=sr_1_1?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1340399466&sr=1-1
18oz Kleen Kanteen arrived and it is a thing of beauty. Not used it in anger yet as waiting for a sleeve for insulation and protect it from dings.
Not sure it will replace my Camelbaks but hey great bottle and hydration is critical even in the UK.
Nice write up!!!!!!!!!!! Great read!!!!!!!!!
the Stanley water bottle is the best, the cap is a capcap style.
KK are very over priced in the UK
Great review! Thank you.
I bought this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001QFZ4YU/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00 back in 2011. It's insulated stainless steel, 26 oz., and does an excellent job of keeping cold drinks cold & hot drinks hot. As an example, one day I left it sitting in a hot car on a summer day, and about 6 hrs. later, roughly mid-afternoon, my drink was still very cold, and, of course, refreshing. Conversely, a few hrs. after adding hot tea or coffee, it may not be steaming, but is still more than hot enough, nonetheless. I've washed it and the cover in the dishwasher, without any negative effects, and I can still turn it sideways or upside down, without any fear of it leaking. I've dropped it a time or two, but no major dings to speak of.
Those are similar to some Thermos bottles we have, not sure if ours are 26 oz. Great for cold or hot, all day.
this is the thread that helped me decide on these water bottles about a year ago.
hydroflask insulted 18oz, 21oz, and 40oz. the blue ones belong to family members.
Finally someone else that likse hydroflask! JR
I have had a KK 20oz insulated for a year or so and use it every day for my coffee. I picked up a 64oz hydro flask on sale to have a larger carrying capacity. I read in this thread people mentioning that HF has a different thread pattern but my KK cafe lid seems to work just fine on the hydro flask. I'm not sure if they changed the design or what but it seems to work. The 64oz is a little large to drink out of like that but it would seem to fit the smaller wide mouth versions also.
