Kabar Dozier, Kershaw Zing, Spyderco Tenacious, Persistence, Delica. There are a lot of sub-$60 knives that are awesome.

:iagree: Though I'd add CRKT to the list, shop around online for the best deal after you fondle a couple IRL to get an idea of scale and size.

I have a CRKT Drifter on the way and I'm really excited to order a Buck Vantage. Check out nutnfancy's youtube review.

I'm not sure what your budget is, or your size preference. Really, the possibilities are endless.

I'd suggest Gerber or Buck. They've got a nice selection ranging from around $10 to $50, if that's your comfort zone.

If a simple quality folder than can go on a keychain is all you need, I recommend the Mini Buck. Here's a link were you can get 5 of them for just under $30, coming out to less than $6 each:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/5-Buck-425-MiniBuck-Knives-425BKS-Knife-USA-Made-New_W0QQitemZ200424519216QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2eaa3b7630

At that price, you can share the love.

A Case XX Jr. Sodbuster can be found for around $20. It's an excellent all-around utility blade. If you look on eBay, you can find a Rough Rider version for about $10, with shipping. The Rough Rider has surprisingly great quality. One advantage with the Rough Rider is that some are linerlock sodbusters, if that's preferred.

If you'd like a traditional/classic pocket knife, U.S. models (like Case XX) can get expensive. However, there are companies that sell less expensive versions of excellent quality for around $10, like Rough Rider. I especially like their Sowbelly models. I found a couple with Tobacco Bone for $10 each on eBay (with free shipping). Sharp out of the box. Very nice. Colt is also nice and can be gotten for way less than a Case XX, as well.

Another outstanding model I'd like to suggest is one I've purchased recently, the Sanrenmu 710.

It's my current EDC. For $7.51 (free shipping), it's hard to beat. It looks sexy and the quality is solid. I'd stack it up against some $30-$40 knives, no problem. I've gotten many compliments on it.

    Hope this helps.

That is another fine blade. I just picked up a used G-10 handle version for about $60 and I love it.

I own a delica 4 and love it, one of the most comfortable knives i've used. i love spyderco's knives.

if you like assisted opening knives you can find a SOG flash 1 for $30-40 online and kershaw's leek and chive are also pretty inexpensive.

For a real 'budget' knife (<$35) try:

    -Spyderco Tenacious/Persistence
    -Kershaw Skyline
    -Kabar Dozier
    -Spyderco Byrd line

Buck also makes decent knives, but I don't know the models.

Moving up a step (<$60) try:
    -Spyderco Delica
-Lots of Kershaw models, most of the Leeks can be had for this price as well as a whole bunch of their other models.
-Buck 110, if that's your kind of knife

If your budge is really tight (<$20)
    -Victorinox Swiss Army Knives
-I think the Dozier can be had for around this price as well, as well as some of the Byrds.

A little more info on what your use, price range, or other requirements are would be helpful...

    Otherwise,

    Buck 110 or 112
    Buck Vantage (several grades)
    Buck 303 or 301 (Stockman)
    Kershaw Skyline
    Kershaw OD-1
    Kershaw Leek
    Case Sod Buster (and Jr)
    Byrd (Spyderco) Cara Cara
    Spyderco Tenacious/Persistence

    Many others...

I also reccomend the Drifter and the Delica. The Kershaw Leek and Blur are popular assisted openers. The Tenacious may be the best knife you'll find for under $45.
