    The 55 is a clean, classy knife. It's my "gentleman's knife". :)

My two 112s. Almost prefer them over the 110.

I am so happy right now. I was over visiting my Mom and she had me look for a stamp in a kitchen drawer. Lo and behold one of the first knives I ever got was in there. This is a Buck 424 I got around 84 when I was 8. I thought it was lost years ago.

I bought this Apex mainly as a lightweight option to take with me when I go hiking. I've found it convenient for carrying around the house due to it's size and lightweight.

I'm rocking my Buck Vertex for the rest of this week. Skeletonized handle; sheep's foot SE blade. Weighs in at 1.75 oz!

Here's a stock photo I grabbed at Amazon: [IMG]

Here's a couple factory 110 autos. The reason I have two is I pre ordered one for myself and Brother in Law. By the time I got them my Brother in Law was diagnosed with Alz. My wife thought it wouldn't be a good idea to give him one so I'm going to EDC one and park the other. They're both pretty solid knives.[IMG]

I thought this was "buck-the-thread" rather than "Buck, the thread". Never mind I will seek polarised views elsewhere :)

I'm not a fan of the Buck styling but I really like the modern style of the Apex. I have one both in carbon fibre and orange finish. Ideal lightweight tiny folders. They probably won't suffer abuse like a Dragonfly but I find them useful to have one on hand in my work bag.

I'm a Buck fan. I especially like the old school hunters. Growing up in a rural area where hunting was popular, the Buck 110 in it's leather belt pouch was the knife to have. It's still my favorite Buck. I also like the Stockman models 301/302 I think, and the Buck 112 Rangers (smaller version of the 110). If it weren't for the shear handiness of my SAK, a Buck would be my EDC. I dressed my first deer with a Buck 110. My son used his Buck 112 to do the same.

I am a Buck fan... 3 versions of the 110; a 112; a stockman; a Vertex. So I tend to perk up when I see Buck doing something new...

Lately I've been perking up quite a bit. ;). I sorta wonder if there have been changes over at the company?

At any rate, I'm on their mailing list, and today got an alert for the July 'Buck of the Month'...

One of the most common complaints I see from today's reviewers (I'm thinking of you Nick Shabazz! ;)) is Buck's continued use of (a) pinned construction on the 110 and the 112 lines; and (b) use of the 'fake' wood scales on those lines... So this newest LE caught my eye. Screwed together construction; anodized aluminum bolsters; red micarta scales on a LE 112 Ranger... Attractive knife. Still using the Paul Bos Heat Treated 420HC steel rather than say SN as has shown up on some other LE Buck... and not exactly a low priced knife at $120.

I haven't decided whether I'm going to spring for it. But I thought I'd share with all Buck fans here. Sorry; tried to grab a pic from the Buck website without success. Here's the link: https://www.buckknives.com/product/july-buck-of-the-month/0112RDSBOTM-B/

You are correct. Which is why I identified it as a LE... ;). I should have stated the qty was limited to 150. My bad.

My bad. I thought at one time Buck used LE to describe the lightweight series.
