I found one brand new one spear point ATS-34 for $120. I know they are discontinued and tough to find. Anyone know if this is a good price?

I ran across some other posts referencing what appeared to be the same deal. I don't think they were the same one I'm looking for which is the spear point pictured below.

$120 for an NIB 880 is a good deal. The prices on them keep going up. That deal at Cabelas was not an 880. It was an 882 which is a completely different knife. I have an 881 which is a 880 Jr. and I love it. You should buy that 880 and use it ;)

I should add that if you see an 880 on a website you should call and make sure they actually have it in stock. A lot of websites don't update their inventory and unless they have one in stock they will not be able to get it from Buck.

I bought enough of those from Cabelas to get free shipping. I looked them over and they just weren't for me. I took them to work to pass on to the guys for what I paid and only 1 guy wanted one so off to Ebay they went.

I'm wiping away my tears. Found it on another website for $120 and free shipping. Placed the order over the phone and it was confirmed in stock.

OT, I know, but I have placed two orders with that outfit, and both times one or more items turned out to be not in stock / backordered. If I ever order from them again, I am going to use the phone.

I received my 880 yesterday and man is it a chunk of a knife. Very nice. Too big for EDC but it will make a good duty knife.

The 880's are great knives! I haven't had any problems with them at all. I sent mine off to Tom Krein who put a flat grind to it and it really slices now. If you can get hold of a BG-42 I say go for it. Though I like the ATS-34. the BG-42 slices like nobody's business and it holds the edge a wee bit more than my ATS-34 mini 881SP.
