I use a military style boars hair brush at home. I've been carrying a Kent in the back pocket for many years but they break. Ugh.

I have short hair that ranges from shaved head to business casual and the beard is goatee to full blown Santa.

What do you use? Metal, wood, carbon fiber??[IMG]

I have two combs. Both wood. They do well with my beard (I don’t need them for the top of my head! )

I have shaved head and big beard. Just brush my beard in the morning after brushing my teeth and then continue with the day. So in other words I don't carry anything with me

[It's not failure if you learn something from it]

    Shaved head, shaved face.
Anyway my (unasked) opinion is that, for combs at least, titanium is the right option: strong, light, non-magnetic, odorless, and... cool as only every other gadget could be in Ti. :)

Got a full head of hair, but haven't carried a comb since the Fonz went off the air the first time.

I'm bald and I typically shave in the summer and keep a buzz cut in the winter just to be warmer. I've had a beard for the last 24 years and around 2016 I stumbled upon this comb in the picture from Hudson Design Manufacturing. It's built like a tank unfortunately, they're no longer in business but there are some nice beard combs I found on Etsy so that might be a good place to start.[IMG]

    Be seeing you...

I have sort of a similar response as the other guys. Pretty much bald so I can comb my hair with a wash cloth and after applying beard balm to my mid length beard, I hit it with a wooden comb and out the door. Never mess with it during the day other than an occasional stroke to slightly shape the beard.
    Sorry I wasn't much help.

Ace black plastic comb. I preferred their hard rubber combs, but they quit making those years ago.

Wait, so, to recap - mostly combs for folks here? Got 2 brushes the better half got for me, which I use (not lackin' for a mop of hair) in the mornings. Though, w/ the current state of wfh, I'll mostly just put on a cap, except on Sundays. And they stay put in one of the bathrooms. They're mine to use in that all of the other brushes in the house get full of the daughts' long hairs, so these have more bristles ('zat what they're called? Guess I've never thought about 'em much) that are useable, lol.

Although I've seen some pretty nifty/useful/durable combs out there, I've not yet thought I needed one for daily use. Any suggestions?

Ace comb. Hard black plastic. Helps with “helmet head” at work. Also works wonders on cactus down here on the border.

I still have a full head of hair but I've worn a flat-top since 1989. I stopped carrying a comb then.

I have a full set of hair but keep it short and wear a hat all the time. I used to keep a brush that I used once I got out of the shower for my head and my beard but since my son decided to grow his hair out long brushes grows legs. After that I just carry a comb. I have a beard brush but that has gotten so long the brush doesn't really do anything. It probably helps the hair on top and on my face are both fine and wavy. The wide side of a comb doesn't tug and pull whiskers out on my beard like it goes some people.

I’m blessed to have a full head of hair heading into my dotage.

I do not, and have never, carried any comb or brush. I have both around the house, but, when out and about, I either style my hair with my fingers or wear a hat.
