Sorry man. Didn't mean to be insulting but didn't you just get the knife? Most small knives have a sharpening choil, ricasso, then some sort of transition to keep your fingers as you don't really need to choke upon a small knife. The Bradford kind of reminds me of a Strider folder which have one of the best choils (finger groove) in the business.
Yeah I did pretty much just get it and haven't used it hard, I just didn't think you realized I had one and could look. It would be nice to have a small box of dull steel where the transition is to the blade from the finger choil, it doesn't. The blade comes right to the finger choil. I have pretty fat fingers from doing construction my whole life and I wear 1XL-2XL gloves depending on brand (mostly motorcycle gloves). Still I am not really worried for general cutting tasks, and unless you did a stabbing "motion" (lol) pushing the knife pretty hard with a lose grip I don't think it's a major concern. However like I mentioned some people dull or file 1/8" of the blade for more security. I bought this blade so I would have a fixed in addition to my folder, so it's more of a backup blade than my primary even though it's a fixed, but I will use it plenty.
That Carbon fiber looks awesome. I had a Bradford for a couple days but I decided to send it back. It was wicked sharp and a great looking knife. It just didn't fit my hand :/ I would love to buy anther one but need to hold it first.
With the Guardian3 -- for me, the leather horizontal sheath requires a careful technique to draw it or one could cut one's index finger slightly. I don't have this problem with the optional kydex sheath, even when drawing fairly quickly. With the Guardian4 it's not an issue for me. I've got one original version with flat scales and one with the "3D" micarta scales and it's hard to tell which one I like better.
When I bought mine, every one came with a leather sheath and the kydex was extra. You can have your cake and eat it too . The Guardian4 leather sheath is okay. Nothing special but usable. I did buy and use the kydex sheathes for mine. The Guardian3 leather sheath is nifty looking, made out of what looks and feels like a really nice leather, and rides horizontal on the belt. The problem I have with it is that too much of the handle rides inside the sheath, which makes obtaining a proper grip that doesn't put part of my index finger on the blade something that requires a slow, careful draw. I also don't care for horizontal knife sheaths on a belt in general.

I was talking to Brad about doing some 3D scales (like my CF ones) in the Jade Ghost G10. That would be a sweet combo. I hope he does it.
I hope he does! Until then I think I am going for the 3D carbon fiber. And I guess I didn't say anything with the pictures...I really like mine. The leather sheath is somewhat limited, as it isn't the easiest to mount or use. It came sharp and seems to hold an excellent edge (I have had only a couple of weeks with it). The handle is...short. Overall a good contingency/utility knife that is compact and lightweight enough to mimic a folding knife in ease of use.
