Exactly, and when i am done I take on tough jobs like cutting shoe laces and boxes(which I can just rip with my hands) with a Ti frame lock.

Tripod rock lmao! I'm done hiking in nj I look for bigger things to tackle!
And no I'd probably use the one on the machine or my lighter...like I said I have things with bottle openers on them but never reach for them.

Sure bottle openers are the correct tool for the job...but then your stating that you've never used your knife instead of scissors? Or a phillipshead to pop open a can of paint?

I'm not attacking anyone for having a bottle opener heck I want a prybaby but intend to pry.
I don't see atwood making bottle babies!

I'm gonna need you Jersey membership card back now, lol.

I've heard it said that if you can ski on Jersey ice, MTB on Jersey roots, and hike on Jersey rocks, you can ski, bike, and hike anywhere. Plus, if you can get from the Gap to the Culver's Lake trailhead between sun up and sun down, you have nothing further to prove.

I've heard it said too that if it can't be found in your own backyard, it doesn't really exist.

Well, that's about enough cryptic fun, eh?

    Not yet.

I've done all that...I love NJ! I still choose to live here...when I say I'm done hiking here I mean I don't take any overnights and have pretty much seen every trail worth seeing...these days I head to NY state- doing Devils Path in under 24 hours and working on all the Adirondack peaks.

But I still go to the gap to catch up on some reading whilst chilling on the cliffs of mount Tammany!!!

I don't find myself ever needing a bottle opener on me. If I'm drinking a bottled beer, I'm either at home, where I have one built into a full-sized can opener, or I'm at a bar or restaurant, and they open them for me.

I guess if I were into taking bottled beers along with me in a cooler out somewhere I would need one, but in that case I'd probably hang one off one of the handles of the cooler.

I have used the opener that's on my Leatherman Squirt just for fun rather than getting the full sized opener out of the drawer, but it's a bit too small for the task and requires that you hook one of the points of the cap just right.

Nice. I had one of those earlier today myself.

I've opened bottles in many different ways (bic, table, another bottle, any tool from a tool box, etc...), but I find it more convenient to use a dedicated bottle opener. I guess it all depends on how many beers you're having or who else you're opening bottles for.

Thanks. I'll be here all week. Be sure to tip your server.:D

I can't take all the credit, obviously, but I'm pretty sure I was at least 10% of the funny.

Most beers I drink are twist offs anyway. And normally I just drink cans cause they are cheaper to begin with.

No dog in this race; just stopped by to say that I don't think I've ever seen beer as classy as Mumbo makes it look.

Here in the UK, you dot get twist off tops, so bottle openers are standard issue really.

I carry a SAK, so covered there, but I've had a beerkey on my keys for maybe 15 years now, as its always there and low profile.

But my party trick is to use my teeth, like a real man...
